Hey Google find the channel or streaming service that is currently broadcasting the Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens… can it do that??
WOW — something turns on as you walk past it! I don’t think that”s AI, I think that’s 1990.
Wonder of these will come to Sony TVs and well Sony update their current and older models my Sony x85j is still Google TV version 10
Not exciting… 🥱
I don’t want to have to talk to my TV just to change channels or the volume its much easier to just simply mash a bilutton than to say hey google increase the volume. What if its late at night, you might disturb people sleeping. Also I don’t want my TV knowing where I am, its bad enough it’s always listening to everything I say. Next they’ll put wheels or legs on it and then it might kill me in my sleep one night 😅😅
I’d like to use my phone or watch kinda like how LG remotes/Wii remotes work: as a magic wand to navigate a cursor onscreen. That would actually be useful technology. This is just nonsense.
no.…..
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is it mounted too high?
Anything made by Hisense from freezers to TV’s, are hot garbage period.
I dont want to have to talk to my TV. Im good lol.
So they can justify eavesdropping and recording our privacy.
I’m staying home watch tv when I’m not in the mood of talking and now I have to talk to my tv. Why is this not a privacy concern anyway?
So AI tells you where to go? What’s the difference between that and my wife? 😁
Home Assistant can already do all of this.
how do you scroll down🤔 can some1 pass the remote please
I’m still thinking how stupidly named their AI assistant Gemini is…they could’ve asked chatgpt for some better naming suggestions if they were lacking ideas.
HEY!!!, you’re setting of people’s devices, SMH
So this is why I’m so broke thanks to AI
Instead of watching TV, the TV will be watching you
But camera in a TV of your bedroom, kitchen, hall and anywhere people keep them these days, connected to google servers 24x7 who wouldn’t want that?
Does it automatically mute commercials, that would be epic!
Wait, you forgot to test one use case : watching TV!
I would have thought this would be the first thing to test
This sucks
Okay, but why? It’s like the “smart” fridge. Cool idea but why?
Please don’t say hey google in your videos, jfc
So the TV spies on you 24/7 365. How much of what it senses does it feed to Google for AI training and Ad revenue and selling to third parties. No thank you I just want a big old dumb TV that only does not have a clue about what is in my house. I’d like at least a feeling of having a quiet private space.
google : you can just leave it
so instead of showing you the delivery guy leaving the package at your doorstep it just leaves the scene & closes the view 😅
It’s really nice to walk by the TV and know that your energy bill is going up when you have no intention of using it! And, everyone, including guests, can see what comes up on my phone.
And who needs a remote when you can hear, “Hey, Google, change the channel,” yelled through the house when the baby is sleeping.
Now your tv is listening to you as well.as your alexa, great!!
Who wants this? Especially if it’s tied to Google servers, spying, collecting even more information.
i just wanna be able to shout pause or play for anything im watching or skip show intros or move to the next episode or adjust volumn, or change tv inputs etc without having to fiddle with a remote or activate by saying ok google or hey siri and for it to be super good at it and not misunderstand, cant theyw ork on that instead of weather or photos
Give me a good old remote…
Smart devices = thieving your personal data and selling on to data brokers. Do not be fools people avoid smart devices.
I am really, really looking forward to get a smart TV that could be a smart home dashboard for years, and this kind of improvements (always-on / always sensing with far field microphone,…) goes in the right direction.
However I still think that a few more enhancements would enable much more use cases : 1. Would probably be better to get by default at least 24GB LPDDR5X / LPDDR6 DRAM and at least UFS 4.1/5 512GB Flash storage, and get regular OS and LLM updates during at least 5 years, 2. Should be fully compatible with Thread/Zigbee (on top of WIFI and Bluetooth) and should be a Matter edge router, 3. Multi-Touch LTPO 1Hz — 120 Hz 8K OLED display would likely be better for the always-on display (date, time, calendar, weather,…) especially for « FRAME TVs »,…
I wish they would figure out how to make the Google Assistant to not react to a YouTube video saying “Hey, Google”
Good wow 😮
I have question for you will gemini voice assistant will do the pixel tablet just like the google tv
meh..😅
Gemini? Not in my country edition
Man, tech hater comments. Google justly deserves their abandonment tech rep, for hardware and software. That said, the idea of device convergence is a good one. A TV can be more than just a TV.
Do you remember when we all coped without asking “what’s the weather today” continually from these ridiculously expensive devices
If it can answer all the questions my wife asks during a movie that would be awesome
Since Google likes to not support products and abandon them. When I wanted a security camera system, I went with Unifi (Ubiquiti). All of my video data is stored in my house on 16 TB drives. And there are no subscriptions to pay.
So it’s a “Nest Hub TV”. Take my money!
Seems like most of this, including the presence sensor could be built into a new Google streaming box that sits out in the open. The only thing that might not work well is a self-adjusting brightness and color balance feature like the small Google Nest Hubs displays have. I like how those feel almost like a non illuminated surface in the room. A TV that could do that would be pretty cool.
TO MANY SPY MICS IN MY HOME WITH THIS ALWAYS LISTENING TO YOUR CONVERSATION EITHER ITS AMAZON GOOGLE ETC FFS YOU CAN’T HAVE A PRIVATE CONSULTATION ANYMORE
How does this TV works with my other mics gadgets nearby that works with google assistant?
Horribly impractical…an entire interaction with only google’s suggestions on what to watch or read. The death of free will
