Ultra-bil­lion­aires like Mukesh Ambani or Elon Musk don’t appear as judges on Shark Tank for sev­er­al reasons:

1. Scale of Invest­ments – The deals on Shark Tank are typ­i­cal­ly in the range of thou­sands to a few mil­lion dol­lars. For bil­lion­aires whose com­pa­nies oper­ate in the bil­lions or even tril­lions, these invest­ments are too small to be worth their time.

2. Dif­fer­ent Invest­ment Strate­gies – Peo­ple like Musk and Ambani focus on large-scale indus­tries (tech, ener­gy, space, tele­com) rather than small star­tups. They invest in com­pa­nies that align with their long-term visions rather than ran­dom con­sumer prod­ucts or services.

3. Time Con­straints – Run­ning mul­ti-bil­lion-dol­lar com­pa­nies like Tes­la, SpaceX, or Reliance is a full-time job. They have to focus on large-scale oper­a­tions, merg­ers, acqui­si­tions, and tech­no­log­i­cal advance­ments rather than judg­ing start­up pitches.

4. Brand and Image Man­age­ment – These bil­lion­aires main­tain a spe­cif­ic brand image. Appear­ing on Shark Tank could make them look too acces­si­ble or involved in small­er deals, which might not align with their larg­er-than-life personas.

5. They Invest Dif­fer­ent­ly – Instead of Shark Tank-style angel invest­ing, they either acquire com­pa­nies, fund large ven­tures, or cre­ate new ones from scratch. For exam­ple, Musk found­ed mul­ti­ple com­pa­nies rather than invest­ing in small businesses.

6. They Have Their Own Ecosys­tem – Ultra-bil­lion­aires already have ven­ture cap­i­tal firms, teams, and net­works to scout and invest in promis­ing star­tups, mak­ing a real­i­ty TV show unnec­es­sary for deal-making.

In short, Shark Tank is more suit­ed for mil­lion­aire investors or ear­ly-stage entre­pre­neurs, while bil­lion­aires oper­ate on an entire­ly dif­fer­ent play­ing field.

This one is one of the best pitch­es I have ever in Shark tank till now where the founders lit­er­al­ly played with the mind­set of sharks. They were sure what to do, got a very good val­u­a­tion. I think they should have tak­en Nami­ta’s deal with 120 cr val­u­a­tion and 0.1% roy­al­ty.
And she was also very much inter­est­ed in the busi­ness.
And as every­one said, they already have a very good men­tor who is bet­ter than all the sharks here. So they should have looked for the bet­ter valuation.😊

And I don’t know what does Aman think and what busi­ness sense does he have?? 🥱Like lit­er­al­ly… some­times gives val­u­a­tion of 40cr, then 80, then 120 and then 100cr.
I think he believes in only one thing i.e if there are more sharks, the val­u­a­tion should be low­er cuz sharks have their own val­ue.😅 Not only in this pitch, he does it almost in every pitch. And the founders fall for it…But these guys were smart enough, they played with it and got a good deal.😂😂
