Coming off of the staggering events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson, codename: The Falcon, and Bucky Barnes, the man known to some as The Winter Soldier, find themselves thrust back into action as they face off against a global threat (and occasionally each other) in the Disney+ series, “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” The series promises to deliver the thrills and surprises that fans have come to expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But how did they do it?
Well, buckle up, true believers, this episode of ASSEMBLED has Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and the rest of the cast and crew ready to take you inside the making of the latest hard-hitting entry in The MCU! Learn how, in true Marvel fashion, the roots of bringing these two characters together reaches as far back as “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and how the momentum has only built over their subsequent films to put them on this inevitable collision course. Hear how the creative minds behind the series used these characters storylines along with the dynamic chemistry between Mackie and Stan as a launch pad for the series to explore these two men as they try to make sense of their respective places in this strange new “post blip” world all while drawing inspiration from and coming to terms with the legacy of Captain America.
The cast and crew will talk about the special alchemy they’ve developed for the series by blending genres from spy thrillers to buddy cop vehicles all while keeping a sharp eye on a story servicing these rich characters. See how the team filmed the high-flying, globe-trotting action, brought back fan favorites such as Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter and Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo, and introduced new characters into the mix. Everything you want to know about the creation of this groundbreaking series is here in “ASSEMBLED: The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”

Yes Let’s Go CAP
❤
Really hoping to see more of Bucky
Try Listening To Them Say “We Worked REALLY Hard To Make Sure It Wasn’t Obvious That She Was The Power Broker” Without Bursting Out Laughing 😂🤣😂
Awesome
It’s funny how Black fans can appreciate and even celebrate Bucky’s time in Wakanda and his taking on the mantle of ‘White Wolf’, yet some White “Fans” can’t and won’t accept Sam as Captain America.
Just an observation.
So old. Sgould have released this more than a year ago
Genuinely cannot wait to see more of Anthony Mackie in Brave New World and get more of a taste of him as Cap! You can tell he really resonates with the character and I’m eager to see what they have planned for him. It’s also going to be the first time I’ve seen a Marvel movie in theaters, and having grown up on the movies I’m very excited. I really appreciate what Mackie and Evans have said about Captain America being for the people rather than just the Americans, I wish more people had that outlook.
hm
wow… 3 years old,and it carries a “2 hours” timestamp…?
As a long-time comic book fan, I am so thankful for this TV show because it finally gave us the “real” version of Sam Wilson.
To me, Sam Wilson (and later, Isiah Bradley) serve an important function: they introduce the topic of racism to Captain America stories. This has to happen because you cannot talk about America without also talking about racism. The two things are linked because American wealthy people have been using racism to manipulate white people since before the Revolution. It is fundamentally part of the story of America.
Anyway, I liked the movie version of Sam, but found him a bit of a letdown. The closest those movies ever got to using the Sam character to talk about racism was when he briefly mentioned the Trouble Man soundtrack in the second Captain America movie.
That wasn’t enough for me.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier had serious narrative flaws caused by the pandemic. Honestly, I think the rumored original plot would have been better. Anyway, whatever flaws FatWS had, they finally got Sam Wilson right. Racism was all over both the text and the subtext of that show. They even introduced mainstream audiences to Isiah Bradley, who has much harsher things to say about racism than Sam Wilson.
Someone behind the scenes must be responsible for this change in the character between the movies and the TV show. Whoever was responsible for that, I offer my thanks as a comic book nerd. It finally felt like the source material was being honored.
Sam Wilson was my favorite incarnation of Captain America in the comic books. “Bad*ss normal” heroes are just inherently more interesting in my opinion. I cannot wait for the next movie to come out!

One more thing: Phase 4 gets more grief than I think it deserves.
The TV shows each had their flaws, but by this point, I was getting burned out on the old “Marvel formula.” Whatever the shows got wrong, each of them got away from the tired old formula. Each show was different from the movies and different from each other. This was such a breath of fresh air for me that the movies that came out during phase 4 were a disappointment to me because they stuck to the old formula instead of trying something new like the movies did.
The introduction of U.S. Agent

I did love the show
One more week until we see Cap back on the big screen!!!
So excited to Sam soar as Captain America!
TEAM CAP FROM WAY BACK!
Two things: I wanted to see more about Red Wings’ tech and as a black man I was totally fine with there not being another Captain America, I wanted Captain Falcon.
Whether it’s Marvel or DC, one thing is certain—cinematic greatness is guaranteed! 🔥🎥
