I’m gonna wait 6 months and if they survive I’ll buy one and then report back to this comment
Bro I forgot about cell phone batteries flying across the floor, guess I blocked that out haha
Being easy to change those parts are so Nokia
BlackBerry bb10 phones were like this but we all ditched them
How would you compare this to the fair phone if I was going to get one of them?
This phone has already been on sale for $359. I’m two weeks into using it as a replacement for a Galaxy S20 Ultra.
If the magnets were in the phone they wouldn’t work if there was a case on the phone. It makes sense to have one set of magnets that actually work. Please leave the magnets out so an already heavy phone doesn’t weigh more and put them in the case that you were going to buy anyway. Cases are phone specific anyhow.
Wish They bring back the innovative Windows Phone.
Man how things have changed on this channel. 😔
In my humble opinion, they should instead go with Nokia brand, not HMD, for this phone
Was the vibration motor always trash or did it get that way after you went into the phone?
They should have used the Nokia brand name.
As a person that works in an idustrial enviroment i will choose a phone without a strong magnet buit in, the main reason is that metal filings will be atracted to my phone and i am sure that there are other reasons
All phones r easy to work on. Its the backs that r hard not to break. Take ur time anubody can replace parts in a phone. Dont be scared. Ive taken my phones apart and put them back together just to practice. 1 screw fits all most of the time
6:20 that was real smooth.
The fact about small phones is that yes, maybe some people want them and they are very vocal about it, but they are a small fraction. Usualy a small percent of people are very vocal about some things and when brands implement the changes that these people want, not many actual costumers end up buying that.
Idk if it makes sence what i just wrote above, hopefuly everybody understands 🙂
The wallpaper and the colors brings back the vibe of the nokia N9 🖤
Now it’s your turn viewer… buy these phones to support the idea of repairability. And then more products like this will appear. You can ONLY vote with your wallet. Your vote doesn’t matter sh.t anymore.
They should bring back the lumia brand. HMD lumia
My kids will only have this phone. And they can fix it themselves
Easy repairabilty and it can have micro sd !? For 500 if it haves today’s stabdards it’s a great offer
Just about everybody’s not gonna know about this phone and then even the people that do a lot of them aren’t even gonna want it. That’s a fact
Would be great if you could upgrade parts of the phone like we do with PC
$500 is a lot because right now it’s $350 everywhere
Good looking out skeeter!
Do you always catch the phone or are there some takes where you dropped it?😊
if HMD has the same performance (or dependability) of at least S24 ultra then I am getting this one.
We definitely need more repairability in tech
Nokia and other phones in 2000: wtf we can easily remove everything and changes everything
Two-screen is better

In a sense we have reached the point where app availability determines the phone’s life, eg YouTube app stopped supporting older versions of iOS and Android, which kinda kills smartphone usage.
My dad is still using the iPhone 6 and they have stopped supporting the app on the older phone, the phone works perfectly for his use case. The only apps he has on that phone is Facebook, Viber, messenger, and YouTube.
Now, since one of the major apps he used has stopped working, it is time to upgrade, and it kinda feels unnecessary as if I need to get a new phone also I have to get the latest model so that it will be again supported for a long time. As we have no plans to update the phone regularly (it is an expensive investment!) and when a new flagship comes every year killing older-gen software support this feels like a trap.
I am all up for the repairability and accessing part by ourselves. But having it as a selling point, I don’t know…
