Fun fact: A former Verge employee was part of it.
For a second there…i had flashbacks.…😂
This is an example of why you should not try 1st gen tech.
One of the reasons I’m starting to hate smart tech in general. It’s only as good for as long as the manufacturer supports it. I got a bunch of baseboard heaters installed that I could control via wifi. Less than a year later the company shut down support for that feature. I can still control the heaters individually but I don’t have the central control over them that I once did and it’s frustrating
All that funding, all those super-rich former apple founders, and nobody has the decency to put out a final OTA update to make it a smart accessory or just put the jailbreak out there for the tinkerers and hackers. Pathetic.
They got insanely rich anyway. What a time to be alive.
“Your $7–800 device now does nothing.“
To be clear, it didn’t do all that much before either.
