The teardown to install a crap 1tb ssd is basically the same crap it already has inside this having to buy another 1tb ssd is so redundant and the risk of someone whose never opened anything electronic to snap or break something off instead of making the drive plug in and out via small access panel like most laptops
Can you do a video for Xbox series X
Enlightening. Ideas what to buy for my grandkid
Transfer times is great and all but where’s the real world experience that a user will typically see, such as with game start up or load time. Also, comparing this to the internal storage (baseline) is useful.
Aorus 7000s!
Mr Arthur Harold is the best, recommending him to all beginners who wants to recover losses like I did
links are broken 🙁
Nice video but, i will wait for ps5 pro.
Would be great to test the loading speed though, as we are not transfer games all the time.
Did you firmware update the Samsung before doing these tests? It’s incredibly necessary as it’s the only way to unlock its advertised performance. The FW update dropped in January I believe, so I hope the answer’s yes.
I’m disappointed in you CNET. Read and Write speeds are extremely important. Transfer rates not so much
Is it just me or does all this just feel like a money grab scheme? Previous systems simply required slapping a game cd or cartridge in and you’re instantly good to go! Now even disc version games absorb the extremely limited internal memory to play. Spending $500+ on the console and then another $400 on an ssd to get it running properly seems ridiculous. The technology should be better than requiring a ton of extra money to enjoy the ease that we had before. 🙄
This is an video for people looking to know which ssds are best and you spend time expanding what game file size means? Jesus
He called the PS5’s internal ssd a hard drive 🤣
Test the read and write speeds. Next time.
Your voice volume is to low
Quick question, does the storage stack? For instance my ps5 has like 660 GB of storage and I purchase a internal ssd of 1 TB wil it 1.6 TB. Or would it refresh and only be 1TB?
980 Pro is still not made in 4tb though. Also, there are some drives almost $200 less on Best Buy compared to Amazon.
It’s not just about performance.
How many times can each byte be written?
What is the price?
Most people wouldn’t notice the difference in speed between the fastest gen 4 NVMe and a middle-of-the-pack NVMe, but they would really notice the difference between a 700x write drive and a 500x write solid state drive.
Am I the only one who can’t hear him well volume low???
Hsve you yet tried the kingston fury renegade? Trying to choose between firecuda, corsair, or kingston. Right now corsair is winning for me. I use to be interested in the wd sn850x and tried that a yr ago.
i didnt understand
can u play the games from the new ssd directly or not?
so do u play it on the already build in and just switch games or do you play it on the new one
