FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is pushing through his plan to rescind Title II net neutrality rules, despite widespread public outcry. But this isn’t about policy — it’s about whether or not you’re getting what you paid for. And it really isn’t that hard. We just have to start with the truth.

very well done video, very concise, to the point, easy to understand, and therefore potentially terrifying
Netflix has backed off of the net neutrality stance, mainly, because they’ve signed contracts with Comcast, and other ISP’s. One of which, is the contract with Comcast, who now streams netflix directly over their “on demand” content networks.
Time to make another one!
You just got my subscription! Awesome video!
All over the nation on December 7th Verizon stores are getting protested against.
Can’t wait too see how this goes if it’s passed cause let’s face it the Republican’s will be fuckedm
I believe it’s monopolistic collusion among the big ISPs. There are laws to protect consumers against such business practices.
there only going to get me out of my house and stop using the internet xD and ill stop paying for internet at this rate buy more guns with all the money ill save not having overpriced bullshit gay af internet///
#SaveTheMemes
Just leftist scaremongering. Nothing about the repeal of FCC rules is going to destroy the Internet.
I thought we were done with this, apparently stupidity never gets old. Well said in the video. As someone who came from a country with a communications monopoly I can assure you you do not want this. Corporations are not benevolent. They do not love you. They are sharks waiting without malice to take your lunch money and cut your service. They don’t care, they are utterly emotionless. They would repeal the water and air quality and cigarette advertising laws if they could. That is what corporations do because they are required by law to do it. Ajit Pai only cares about the money he is paid. Other than that he has no ethics. That’s okay, sociopaths in our society are called ‘lawyers’.
CALL IN THE RIGHT WING DEATH SQUADS ON AJIT PAI
That’s literally communism.
Capital Switchboard 202–224-3121 Congress has the ability to repeal an agency’s actions so it is very important to call congress and keep calling congress, especially the republicans. Congress can inact a congressional resolution of disapproval in which congress reverses or eliminates an agency’s action. Since Trump took office congress has worked to reverse more than a dozen regulatory actions.
If Pai hears of congressional opposition it may slow down the net neutrality death train he is feverently pushing for his ex cronies at Verizon.
After the commission votes in on the 14th of December and will likely reverse open internet & net neutrality rules concerned internet users have 6 weeks of public outcry to convince members of congress to oppose the FCC’s plan before we are ALL at the mercy of the likes of Comcast, Verizon AT & T who will all start throttling access and charging for internet fast lanes. It’s a win win for these huge companies because they can charge both the consumer and internet companies, they stand to make a ton of money.
The fast lanes will greatly hurt consumers with increases in fees and consequently less choices. Free speech is affected because of less choices, competition for the small guy who doesn’t have the capital like facebook or google, thus innovation will be more costly. It’s a terrible idea all around for all people regardless of political party.
Public outcry to convince all senators especially republican senators would have a huge affect. It’s very important to fight this.
This is world war 3.
So, would it be U.S.A only? wouldn’t criminals/terrorists from other countries be able to access the dark web and the deep web anyway? And wouldn’t it be harder for the FBI to track them if they can’t even access that website?
And what about all of those random websites like http://www.giantbatfarts.com ?
I haven’t used it before, but would the TOR browser make it so you could go anywhere? We should all invest in a big hacking program that allows access through those sites. Honestly, with the right hacking , this could be a good thing sorta. pay $5.99 for ‘e‑mail’ but than use it for them good ‘ole memes
Can you share links to all the articles, info graphics, and quotes you use?
i’m telling you — take net neutrality away from the fcc, make a new overwatch committee and make net neutrality a law the fcc cant touch.
RIPPERONI
so in Croatia we have fiber optics internet speed and about 5–6 bigger ISP and few little ones, montly for fiber is around 50ish bucks.

Net Neutrality is a misnomer. A planned false name to trick the public. The issue here is Title 1 or Title 2. If the internet becomes Title 2, the government gains control of the internet. That would be the worst thing that could happen for any of us.
The best example is that if the internet had been Title 2 15 years ago, we would not have the innovation and increase in speeds that we have had over that time. I have gone from 10mbps to 100mbps with no change in cost. Feel free to reply if you’d like me to explain. Don’t be fooled America.
