I almost bought one the oth­er day from a garage sale but the son, who chose that day to vis­it mom, decid­ed against sell­ing it. It came with 30 games, 4 con­trollers and even had an HDMI board pro­fes­sion­al­ly installed. All for just $100, I imme­di­ate­ly slapped my cash down but was quick­ly inter­cept­ed by a sweaty 20 year old scream­ing out of his car, Nnnoooo, before he even parked. I under­stood and didn’t push it any fur­ther, how­ev­er I did get my hands on a Has­sel­blad 503CW with 4 lens­es and a bunch of acces­sories for only $200, amaz­ing find at a bar­gain price. 

I also recent­ly bought a Has­sel­blad 907x with a 50c dig­i­tal back for less than a few thou­sand at an estate sale, along with 4 brand new XCD lens­es, a bunch of acces­sories includ­ing an awe­some grip, 4 optic viewfind­ers in each of the lens­es focal range and even an incred­i­ble retro Has­sel­blad leather bag. The auc­tion was cash only, so when these beauty’s came up I was in com­pe­ti­tion with 3 oth­er guys who quick­ly bowed out one by one as they had blown their load for the day by buy­ing oth­er things for their part­ners. Need­less to say I was one hap­py camper that not only pissed 3 oth­er poten­tial buy­ers but one of the fam­i­ly mem­bers host­ing this auc­tion who thought they would get at least $8000 for the kit. Though since they went with a pro­fes­sion­al auc­tion house they couldn’t back out of the deal, their fault for not putting a high­er reserve on it. 

I have to say that I’ve have had a pret­ty good year in bar­gain hunting.
