Ancient Aliens: Atlantis’ Extraterrestrial Connection (Season 18)

This video claims that there is a con­nec­tion between Atlantis and extrater­res­tri­als. How­ev­er, this is false and here is why. First let’s start with Atlantis and how it isn’t proved to be real. The video states that a philoso­pher named Pla­to wrote about Atlantis 9,000 years before his time. How could he write about a lost city and describe it being real when it was 9,000 years before his time? It is log­i­cal­ly impos­si­ble to know the details of Atlantis. A bet­ter expla­na­tion would be that Pla­to was a writer and he most like­ly wrote about Atlantis as a fan­ta­sy. Fur­ther­more, there is no evi­dence of Atlantis and what tech­nol­o­gy it had, it is all based off of assump­tions and leg­ends. Next, the pos­si­bil­i­ty of extrater­res­tri­als. The video claims that “oth­er­world­ly vis­i­tors” vis­it­ed each of these “lost civ­i­liza­tions”. The prob­lem here is that there is no evi­dence of what these extrater­res­tri­als are and no details of these lost civ­i­liza­tions. The con­nec­tion between them is all cor­re­la­tion, which does not mean that these events caused extrater­res­tri­als to vis­it these “lost civ­i­liza­tions”. All the flood­ings and gods they talk about are all assump­tions and aren’t proven. Plus, using sci­ence, this is just a hypoth­e­sis, it isn’t test­ed and there is no evi­dence to prove any of this, just cir­cum­stan­tial ideas. Occam’s Razor states it best, the sim­plest expla­na­tion is not the best one but the one that requires the FEWEST assump­tions. Final­ly, they explain at the end how extrater­res­tri­als are still active over native lands today. Where is the proof? What activ­i­ties are they doing? Why would extrater­res­tri­als both­er with us and native lands? Over­all, the sto­ry of Atlantis and extrater­res­tri­als are all based on assump­tions and can­not be proven. There­fore, this video is a hoax and a lie!

The whole argu­ment pre­sent­ed in this video can be described by unknown or unknow­able facts. All the infor­ma­tion pro­vid­ed in this video is based upon guess­es and lit­tle to none of it is con­firmed facts. To begin, the mere exis­tence of Atlantis is unable to be con­firmed. I believe false com­par­i­son is used between the lost city of Atlantis and Native Amer­i­can ori­gin sto­ries. As some­one with lit­tle knowl­edge on both mat­ters, this video pro­vides no cor­re­la­tion or evi­dence between the two that can be proven. The fact that they were both ancient civ­i­liza­tions ruled by a God is not a strong enough con­nec­tion. Most civ­i­liza­tions in the past were ruled by and heav­i­ly influ­enced by Gods. The Native Amer­i­cans in this video only refer to “oral his­to­ry” to get all their facts which shows there is no real proof of an ancient Native Amer­i­can civ­i­liza­tion to under­go these types of dev­as­ta­tion and destruc­tion. An out­landish claim by a speak­er in this video is to say that Atlantis and Azt­lan or Tenochti­t­lan are iden­ti­cal sce­nar­ios. In addi­tion to call­ing them iden­ti­cal, they also some­how bring extrater­res­tri­als into the argu­ment. Because they were iden­ti­cal, they had to of been vis­it­ed by the same extrater­res­tri­als? That is an exam­ple of a non sequitur fal­la­cy because the argu­ment of extrater­res­tri­als hav­ing an influ­ence on these civ­i­liza­tions have absolute­ly noth­ing to do with any of the pre­vi­ous state­ments in the video. Extrater­res­tri­als fit nowhere in this sto­ry and have no cor­re­la­tion. The video also acknowl­edges that most edu­cat­ed aca­d­e­mics believe these civ­i­liza­tions are mytho­log­i­cal. Enu­mer­a­tive log­ic, specif­i­cal­ly gen­er­al­iza­tion, is used in this video as well. Just because there are known sub­merged cities in the Mediter­ranean does not mean that the lost city of Atlantis is one of those cities. This video cap­i­tal­izes off the fact that there are unknowns instead of high­light­ing things that can be proven true. Due to lack of infor­ma­tion, I believe that it is high­ly like­ly that the city of Atlantis did not exist. I think it was a mytho­log­i­cal sto­ry told over­time by dif­fer­ent ancient civ­i­liza­tions. I think peo­ple chose to make their own the­o­ries about the city and the truth of the fic­tion­al sto­ry got lost in trans­la­tion. Over­all, no part of this video con­vinced me that there is an Atlantis’ Extrater­res­tri­al Connection.
