Virtual reality comes to theme parks
VR,roller coasters,ghostbusters,virtual reality,galaxy gear,oculus
VR is coming to a rollercoaster near you. Or maybe you’re going into Ghostbusters. Either way, it’s going to be everywhere, and it’s going to be wild.
Shot on location at Quassy Amusement Park.

Aw, man. Felt kind of bad at the end for the guy. But I bet today he’s like, “I knew VR is a thing! They all laughed at me!”
The filming and editing on this one, was pretty good, enjoyed watching it
I’m never this early. Will you respond?
Whoever edited this video is a genius.…
June went by quick
Omg, this editing. This is some quality ass content right here!
Tron
How the hell do you leave HTC out of that initial list???
Really nice video!
pink eye, comes to theme parks.
I tried the vr ride at six flags and it really wasn’t anything to be praised.

The graphic quality in the six flag ride is absolute crap. It’s like 280p.
“Big tech companies like Google, Facebook and Samsung” someone is clearly bias towards HTC…
I almost fell for it
Ehhh, I don’t want to put something on my face after it’s been on hundreds of others’ faces before
the fakeout closing credits was so clever
They filmed that at Quassy!
this is a really well put together video 🙂
lol, it is funny to see this vid on the same day when I was a couple hours ago in a VR rollercoaster, it is really weird, you hear everybody screaming but in the VR world you are alone. it was really cool tho
Great video.
Who else almost quit the video there.
Cool video😎
in finland we have vr rollercoaster in linnanmäki
I would be so worried about loosing an expensive headset on a ride! Also the Void isn’t even open to the public yet!! ARGGGG
Can you say pink eye?
As a game programmer, I too believe VR is not for household but for arcade or theme park.
Awesome video.
Do arcades even exist in Germany? I have never visited or seen one irl
I was surprised that we already got one VR rollercoaster in Finland this summer in Linnanmäki. I went to try it without any expectations and i was really pleasantly surprised. It was really great! Can´t wait for this to come more mainstream. And in the future maybe you could even choose from various VR experiences on the same ride. It would mean relatively cheap “new” rides for theme parks, when you only need to make new animations and not build expensive rollercoasters. And many theme parks are kind of full, so they can´t have any new rides often.
No VR today is not another fad, people will save their money and buy a pc rig with an oculus or even a cheap‑o samsung vr headset just to experience what others are.
Europa Park in Germany has this since over a year!
H(elp)T(his)C(ompany)is not even a big company anymore lol
VR IS HERE!
Gotta say that’s where the tech currently belongs because theme parks can use he latest VR tech without worrying as much about their budget vs. the average consumer variants.
amazing 3d disney ad before this
And not a single word about apple. Today it’s a good day
I feel the splitting of the two bits about The Void is quite awkward. I don’t like it…
Also, Facebook didn’t create Occulus Rift. Occulus started as their own company (that pretty much launched the big VR wave we’ve been having for the last few years, BTW). John Carmack, programmer of the game engines of games like Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein 3D, which he also helped develop, has been Occulus’ COO since before Facebook acquired them.
