Or you can be an engi­neer who fig­ure it out by your­self how auto­mat­ic door works as oppose to super­mar­ket doors then apply to your own door. My cat does­nt need this, she always meows to let usknow shes back and wants to come in.

If my dog could it would go in and out the door every 30 sec­onds, cur­rent­ly her con­stant want­i­ng to go in and out dri­ves us nuts. There is no way we would empow­er her to come and go any­time she want­ed. Sec­ond­ly, here in Chica­go I’d be con­cerned with cold or snowy weath­er not only inter­fer­ing with the door but the insane waste of ener­gy that this door would bring as I’m sure its insu­la­tion val­ue has to be close to zero as it looks as if the doors slide into the cas­ing. $3000 is also a boat ton of mon­ey. We just replaced our front door and side­line and that was 3k so 3k for this, no sor­ry no sale.

…$3000. I’ll just spend $20 on dog­gy toys and my dog will be just as happy.

Two issues: 1, many peo­ple no longer have col­lars on their dogs in the home. And 2, what kind of pro­tec­tion is there to pre­vent the door clos­ing too soon? Inter­est­ing con­cept, but… not sure about it yet.

The door seems a bit high. Not every dog feel com­fort­able jump­ing in a small hole like that

THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS?????? I’ll wait. The price may come down in 10 years. Both my cat(s) will be dead by then, so I’ll save mon­ey in the long run. I STILL haven’t invest­ed in the Lit­ter Robot for them either, at $500 each, but there’s ALWAYS an idiot that will be suck­ered into it, no doubt. I’ve hap­pi­ly resort­ed to clean­ing their lit­ter dai­ly. (STILL haven’t got­ten any cooties by doing that, nor am I too lazy). You guys try to play on peo­ple’s heart­strings and make a prod­uct for own­ers and pets to be as com­fort­able as pos­si­ble, includ­ing cater­ing to “THOSE PEOPLE” who want the newest and lat­est “bling” for their four legged fam­i­ly mem­bers. C’mon guys.…really? You’re not being peo­ple friend­ly AT ALL. Low­er the price and you may(?) make more $$, since this appears to be what it’s about, over­all. Finally…one thing nice I have to say about your prod­uct: it’s a GREAT idea FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN AFFORD IT!!!!!!!

Don’t spend your hard earned mon­ey on this it’s very cool great video by the way but no way I’m pay­ing 3 grand for a dog door plus go out my way to get a new door that’s crazy. 

I did some research and I found dog­gy doors like this with a col­lar that opens the door same thing as this but way cheap­er you can lit­er­al­ly find a few on Ama­zon for 150–400 dollars.
