I was tearing up as it was when he d*ed but when it was reiterated that it was on McDonald’s B‑day, I was done.
These warriors are true heros
What happen when you are done serving. You’re 2 ‑4. Years. . What happen to them ?
Dogs are better than most humans and these soldiers (not the canine ones) are real men. Thank you for your service and thank you for sharing this, your thoughts and your stories.
Captivating ❤
I also lived in NW Arkansas.
As a former senior Army dog handler I appreciate this video.
Gave me tears. Gave me chills and an even greater respect for these men and incredible soldier dogs. Thank you for the crazy brave acts you do. Navy Mom

If only I could have even more respect towards the soldiers, it’d be now… True warriors, incredible story.

Congrats Layka
Outstanding video!
The relationship between man and dog is truly special. We literally don’t have proof of a time where we weren’t coexisting together. Dependent on each other. Just amazing!
My neighbor named his little 2# terrier Benno 🥰 his daughter and both my sons are veterans. I have a female working line GSD, oldest son has blk lab/golden named Charlie & my baby has a female GSD. See you in Valhalla Benno! When my Dad passed, we preferred memorials to Pets for Vets. Hooah
Fellow Northwest Arkansas here from Springdale. Much love brother
Don’t meet your heroes
Awesome soldiers (dogs and men) . so grateful for all!! So good , I’ve watched this twice 🙂
i always wanted serv just to have bropthers for life since i never had any
Her story is not nearly as heroic, but I am currently fostering a GSD that came from an abusive home & was hit by a car. As a result of that, when I picked her up to be fostered, she had to go straight to the vet and have her front leg amputated. Despite all of her trauma she is THE BEST dog anyone could ask for. How she trusts humans and becomes more loving every day is truly beyond me. We don’t deserve dogs. Thank you Benno & Layka for your service & sacrifice. Heroes!! 🫡💚
Jesus Christ, I barely held it together carrying my dog from the vet’s office after we had to put him down for a spleen tumor. That was 500 feet maybe. I couldn’t imagine having to do it for miles. That entire process was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced emotionally. I will never forget watching the life drop out of his eyes instantly and how his blood settled in one side of his body when I put him in the ground burying him. I can’t imagine the feeling of losing my dog to someone hurting it on purpose. RIP to Benno.
McDonald is a good man. Giving Layka a second chance at life is so heart warming and something he did not have to do at all. I am sure there was a bit of Benno in that choice too.
This made me cry😢
Oh my gosh I’m sobbing after this 😭😭😭
