either this is a small fridge which I hate unless I’m only using it for soda and snacks or this a tall dude
samsung is throwing ‘smart’ everywhere they can
“Mom!! Jesse is hogging the fridge again” ‑A relatable teen in the near future
Looks fun until they put a giant price tag at this machine
lol, I wonder if pets can open the fridge by accident with that step mechanic
I like the notes of sarcasm and snark that can be found throughout the video
“dope Korean fridges”
its a fridge with an android phone from 2012,
this is 2016
I just can’t wait for the day I need to install anti-virus software on my fridge to stop it locking me out of being able to get my milk.
On a more serious note… why? What’s the point of this? We know for a fact that the chances of these things having decent security is pretty slim and the chances of them getting any updates for more than a year even slimmer. They’re just going to be yet another point of entry on your network for nasty shit to get in, just like smart TV’s.
Opening a fridge door takes about .5 seconds. Knocking on a glass panel just to see what’s inside? Looks extremely gimmicky/useless to me.
That is cool
Good fridge … if you want your pet to gain acess to it..
If I left the door, why can’t the fridge just close itself instead of sending a notification. That would be ‘Smart’.
Probably just me but the only thing i saw cool here was the knock to see what’s in the fridge.
wow…yawn..a fridge with a screen.
So its just a fridge with a touch screen on it? That’s it? Wow, how… pointless.
Dumbest shit i’ve seen yet
Whoa, that’s a slow on-board computer. I don’t get it, why they cannot make this faster, they can throw in a fast CPU in a phone which is just 0.28 in…
Owh, this has to do with ”The Internet of things” shit right?.
why is everything so god damn slow? It takes 0.5 seconds to grab the handle and open a fridge. Why would u wanna wait 5 seconds for it to open for you? And a slow android phone on my fridge? get the hell out of here…
It’s only a smart fridge when it starts ordering food after it runs out and makes meals for you 😜
Why?
THESE FANTASTIC FUTURISTIC SMART FRIDGES IS ABLE TO BUY ME GROCERIES & COOK FOR ME AS WELL. SPLENDID! I’LL DO THE DISHES THOUGH.
too bad, i was hoping for a gaming fridge
there a d in fridge but not in refrigerator…
But can it save you from nuclear blast?
those things probably cost as much as a good down payment for a car
You lost me at Tizen… and Samsung.
No joke, my favourite part of moving to a new house is buying new kitchen appliances. And the excitement of when it arrives.
The feature they didn’t mention here was that you can see what’s in the fridge when you’re not at home, which is quite nice. We all have those times when you think there’s still milk, or whatever shit, but then when you came home someone drank it all.
I feel like someone could DIY rig a screen like the first fridge with like Rpi and a monitor and it would be cheaper.
The whole Samsung “Smart Fridge” is the very definition of a gimmick. You already check your notifications, messages, and weather on your tablet, phone, computer and even TV. Why extend that to an appliance you spend 5 seconds to take out and put in shit?
until the fridge can actually feed me, i don’t care
Tizen OS: Looks so slow!!
“Such as…” What?!?
So there will be adverts on my fridge and collects video and audio data for better user experience?
The fridge has a large display that doesn’t tilt up. Because you know, everyone is 5′2″ tall. You have to kneel down to see it at eye angle. Who’s the idiot engineer that didn’t think allowing the display to tilt up would be a good idea????? Don’t even get me started on the fridge that opens with the tap of a foot. Tap foot and it takes two minutes for the door to fully open.
And just to make it a bit weird a more useless it is running Tizen.
I like the LG version better. The knock to see what’s on instead of opening the door is brilliant. Since your electric meter starts to run faster once the door is open and you spend more then 5 minutes looking for items. Specially during the summer when electricity prices skyrocket.
A FRIDGE too far.… Amirite
Personally i prefer the LG fridge. Ig has ample space and some really cool (and actually useful) features.
This guy is funny
