Side-by-side with last year’s cheaper model it’s tough to tell the difference.

Hey that burnin issue is a LG thing
my retina MacBook Pro 2012 has a lg screening it had that same issue
I predict burnin won’t be a issue in 2022
Those of you going to buy an LG and planning on having HBO Max, HBO Max isn’t on LG TVs and they aren’t on Roku and Amazon. HBO go will be faze out for HBO Max so be mindful of that but if you have Xbox you’ll be fine, I don’t have a PS4 so I don’t know what type of apps they have.
great review. Simple, too the point, don’t drone on about spears and munsil test disks… Just tell us if the picture is good, better than last yr’s model and move on.
How long is long enough to cause image burn in… I want a OLED but I don’t want it if burn in is a really big issue.…
Great video! You just should’ve compared with the C9 tho.
LG gimped the CX and their potential new customers.
Where is the Sony X900H review?
Got a 65 inch B9 on ebay for 1599 no tax 🙂
LOL
High price? cheaper than ever before.
So dose the C9 have a great picture.
Yeah today i ordered the 77″ CX i can’t wait to get my hands on it to play Last of us 2, the main reason to buy this model were the gaming features
48 inch arrived today only reason I order cx . If you want a 55 inch or bigger go for C9 you will save a lot of money and the tv is practically the same . C9 will compatible with new consoles too and is better for Pc apparently
Thank you for the honest opinion! I think LG C9 is also a great TV to buy
what size is this?? always mention the size.
I would get B9
But I can’t fit a 55″ or 65″ in the TV room, so CX it is!
Thanks for the review.
Why are u comparing to the B9 and not the C9?
Off to get my B9 now!
Nothing beats Panasonic OLED TV when it comes to picture quality, color accuracy, brightest OLED and least likely to burn in screen due to fast cooling of screen. Cons marketing and availability. Either first or 2nd in categories in HDTVtests so Panasonic is the best buy but where to buy is an issue.
Nothing beats Sony OLED tv for motion control in fast moving scenes. Cons are gaming due to no HDMI 2.1 and least bright.
Nothing beats LG OLED TV when it comes to Gaming and user friendly OS and marketing. Cons are black crash and losses details in dark scenes, oversaturated colors.
Why are we even still reviewing LG OLED sets? They’ve basically been the exact same TV over the last 4 or 5 years lol. Some minor processing and port tweaks here and there notwithstanding. The panel tech has been at a bit of a standstill for years. People just kinda silently gave up on the rumors and hope for a gen 2 panel that would solve some of OLED’s issues. OLEDs are decent TVs, but I’d rather see Cnet go back to the days where they reviewed more variety of TVs. These days they seem to focus exclusively on OLED and budget brands. I would love to see David’s opinions on the recent high end LCD offerings from Sony and Samsung but they haven’t reviewed models like that in at least a couple years. Sad. I miss the “old” Cnet TV review formula…
B9??? Compare it to the C9!!!
LG C9 and CX are amazing TVs bar none! I have been using the C9 for almost half a year and I have ZERO complaints. However, the icing on the cake would be a native Google Photo app in the LG Content Store that will allow people to showcase their TVs in all its glory with their personal photos and videos!
Don’t compare it to the B9 it has different processor, misleading btw
improved motion over c9
What brand is the tv stand with wheels holding the LG B9 (2019) @0:29? Anyone knows?
Managed to get a CX 55″ for just 100 bucks more than the C9, so i went with the CX instead!
TruMotion greyed out when on Dolby Vision. Hi I recently bought the 55 CX and noticed that when I enable Dolby Vision TruMotion is greyed out making it impossible to turn off. I really dislike the soapapora affect that TruMotion creates. I’ve updated my CX with the latest software, updated Apple TV 4K to latest OS and am using an hi speed HDMI cable sold at the apple store. I also have a 55 B7 with Dolby Vision enable and on that older model I am able to turn off TruMotion. Has anyone heard of any upcoming updates that may resolve this? Thank you all! For now I am using HDR.
Can you disable all the smart crap and networking? I want to use it as a monitor and that stuff is all a giant security risk, especially considering they rarely if ever release firmware updates for security patches.
Just bought the 55 inch for 1399 today.
Just picked one up and love it👍🏼👌🏽
This type of review is always always appreciated and needed.. Thank you 👍🏾 😁
Since the CX has all the bells and whistles, which LG version doesn’t have the bells and whistles but DOES HAVE the same picture quality in 2020.
Is a 55 inch open box excellent condition worth $1299?
Just got mine today. Have to say the picture is nice but not noticeably nicer than my LG 65E7P. Only problem I’ve had is I’ve got a line out (optical) to my home surround sound but I can’t get it to play surround sound plus the TV speakers at the same time. Never had a problem with 65E7P.
Its “later in the year” — the price on the CX is 1800$ for a 65″. Which makes its A LOT cheaper than the C9. Sooooo, sorta moot, inaccurate video here.
Is this tv recommended for gaming??
Why compare a CX with a B9, the CX has way better picture performance on fine details, especially in shadows in side by side comparisons! Also the processor is quicker, upscales better and has better sound dur to the stand.. pretty poor review.
im debating on getting a q90t or LG cx. i do fear the burn in, that’s why i leaned on samsung for awhile. But after realizing the samsung is $1599 which is more expensive and it only has 1 hdmi 2.1 port and the picture quality is said to be not as good as the CX, I’m kinda leaning toward the CX now. I play a lot of NBA 2k and watch a lot of NBA games, so not quite sure what to go for.
Merry Christmas to meeeeeeee!!!!!!!
Damn, OLED have a sweet picture but still have burn-in issues? I’ll wait a couple of years till they fix it.
It’s so ironic that they are complaining about the price. Just 4 years ago this would have been normal prices for many tvs mainstream good tvs. Now you can get the flag ship for 1500–1800 it doesn’t really seem expensive I guess if you are old like me. I remember when LG first brought out OLEDs and you had to sell your car to be able to buy one.
It’s the best on market
Mine comes tomorrow, I sold my C8 when I moved last month.
After just 2 years and 7 months my flagship expensive high-end 65″ LG CX TV has 1 inch dead pixels discoloration on the top area of the display panel
