REVIEW! The best and worst of hell: What we love in Doom Eternal
CNET,Review,games,gaming,doom eternal review,doom,eternal,Ashley Esqueda,id software,bethesda,bethesda studio
We’ve all waited 4 years for Doom Eternal, and holy slayers, it was worth the wait. Developer id and Bethesda serves us a game that takes all the great things we loved about Doom 2016 and cranks the volume to max — all while adding some excellent new abilities — but we have a few minor nitpicks, too.

😈👍🏻
What difficulty did you play this on?
Will this game support VR ?
Your gameplay is tough to watch. Get gud.
Are there many brand new enemies that haven’t been publicly revealed yet?
Good boomer game can almost see the Grim reaper looking over her shoulder
wow, this looks fun, coming from someone who has a ps3 and not used it in years
You think you’re a tough guy? Coward.
I loved Doom 2016!! It was soooo much fun!! Cannot wait for Doom Eternal! 😃😃
Looks like you were playing with a controller, the gameplay doesn’t look smooth like the launch trailers or gameplay trailers. Please use a mouse next time, even if you’re not good with it.
Did not know CNET did reviews.
Really good game
Wait what , she said “throw my controller” CONTROLLER with doom ?
Looks amazing, already preordered 2 versions for me and my jr doom slayer. 😁
“No demon expansion” twice the variety of demons in 2016
oh nooo the platforming is hard, because i really wanted my game to be a cakewalk
Good review, I like doom and wolfenstein, I like all the doom games, Doom 2016 is awesome, I’m Sure all I Doom Eternal.👺🔥☄🎮
Can you please give a score in the future?
So it’s a challenging game and you might not like this game if you like a challenge?!? You sounded foolish saying there were frustrating moments. This isn’t Mario and even then there can be difficult moments. It’s a game. It shouldn’t be a breeze to complete. I’m glad they didn’t dumb down the difficulty for noobs. You wanna get good, play more and learn!
so how many hours can you sink in this game, campaign wise?
I get to each their own when it comes to the platforming, and that some may not like it. But for me if there wasn’t any platforming, there would be people out there complaining that it was a, for lack of a better term, carbon copy of DOOM 2016. And anyway, it’s supposed to be different than 2016 as in more challenging, so what’s the problem? Do we just want games that are a cakewalk to play? Like I said, I can understand people may not like it (the platforming that is), but honestly for me I think it’s fun. This game is AWESOME!!!!!
Let’s go over your 3 negatives, your words not mine. Lack of demon variety, hard platforming, campaign ends. You’re asking a lot from the dev’s to split up their combat loop for every level and have a certain demon act different, how is the player ever supposed to learn to fight certain demons if they act differently on every level? Bad take, the game has the biggest cast of demons in doom history. Platforming, if you are a platformer gamer like you state then you’d know the platforming in this game, is easy. To the point where it’s fun trying to exploit it just for giggles, it’s not hard. Lastly you can replay any mission you want in the menus plus master levels! Start a new campaign, try another difficulty. There’s a lot of replay value here especially with your questionable gameplay. In conclusion get a new reviewer.
