Why would humans (companies) dump chemicals, trash and fecal waste from there homes in these beautiful lakes? Lake Erie caught on fire in the 1970s.
We weren’t allowed to swim in them in the 70s. We were allowed to swim in the protected finger lakes and waterfalls near the Indian reservations.

Absolutely fascinating documentary! We need more like this.
There’s an area in NW Oklahoma called Gloss Mountains that looks like an ancient seabed. I have heard that there was once an inland sea in the area, but would love to see a real investigation of this. Some miles west of the area is a large sand dune, the Waynoka Sand Dunes and some miles NE are the Great Salt Plains. So it makes total sense to me that there was an inland sea in that area, especially looking at the different layers and striations on those Gloss Mountains. As of now, it’s a State Park area with rattlesnake warning signs. In one brochure i picked up there years ago, i did see just a brief mention that the area was once a sea, however no details were given. If you drove through the area, it’s very easy to imagine that it was once the floor of a sea. I don’t live in that area anymore, but have always been interested in history and geology.
I live right by Lake Michigan , our Great Lakes takes lives every year
Was the great flood of. Noah’s day. ? ?
I grew a mile away from Lake Superior. Where my parent’s house is now used to be under many feet of water.
There are salt mines under Detroit, all the way to Cleveland as well
Salt that has been there for millions of years, but once it hits your table it has an expiration date.
9:56 NIAGARA FAAAALLS. Slowly I turned. Step by step. Inch by inch!
If I’m not mistaken. The pile of debris (glacial till) that glaciers leave behind when they recede are terminal moraines . Drumlins are made of glacial till then eroded by subglacial meltwater and sediment. It’s been a long time but I believe this is correct.
I love Niagara Falls.
