#FCCs #net #neutrality #proposal
why would anyone trust the FCC? this is moronic.
Hong Kong has the fastest internet and one of the cheapest internet in the world, Without Net Neutrality.
Good move, dumbass progressives, you all were manipulated into supporting a government overreach done by the FCC and the US government. You all have touted abysmal approval ratings for the government and yet still support them all because they are “saving the internet”, #SMH. IDIOCY

I’ve been having discussions and arguments about this for the last few months and have come to the conclusion that we are getting the internet (and the country) we deserve. You can’t successfully argue against Feels any more than you can argue religion with those who have Faith. So let the FCC cheerleaders have the internet and the country they asked for. It will be rough for those of us who know better, but in the end when it all comes crashing down and there is no one left to offer handouts the truth will win out.
Internet Regulation will turn into communist china. Extreme?? mark my words before internet deletes them.
ISP’s need more competition to end their monopoly.… not regulation
On the top right it says “EA” 😀
Hey guys, Thank you so much for telling all sides of the story and not a one sided liberally biased agenda. I think net neutrality will save america. We need more things like this in the hands of people with our best interest in mind. There are really ignorant people out there and lets be honest, regulations are needed to save us from ourselves. i think we all agree on that at least, lol
Anything the government sticks their hands in…ruins it!
lolololololol u people think its a good idea to label the internet a public utility. who the hell is the fcc? who elected them? I didn’t vote them in. the usa is obviously loosing democracy. all of these LAWS being passed with a vote amongst the people it directly effects. this is just a foot in the door. …listen to your selves “they probably won’t do this or that, they said this they said that” .…. does it not make u angry that what they say now, means nothing later!? they can do what ever they want with the internet now! moral VICTORY? idiots, and sheep, gold fish in a bowl. WE THE PEOPLE DID NOT GET TO VOTE!!!! we didn’t vote on the bill, nor did we get to vote the officials into the FCC, that’s what really matters. omg throttling sucks boo hoo! get a different internet provider… why do people want the government to hold their hand so much?
He just said that websites wont be blocked if they are legal. Haha means government control over our freedom of internet.
Regulatory Capture: Create an artificial barrier to entry to any entrepreneurs who could disrupt the current monopolies. Don’t be surprised if all current big players LOVES this.
Well the documents are finally available and no worries, just looks like the government wants to control content.

The pro-regulation view makes a lot of good points. The feeling of lock-in to a situation at or approaching monopoly is visceral. Most users are already quite frustrated at their providers, and would like to give ’em a kick in their complacency! It’s understandable then to appeal to the monopoly on coercion, our various governments, and insist they clunk some heads together. We’ll feel better, won’t we?
In the wake of the FCC’s announcement: At the link, discussed are some counterpoints that elucidate why Title II regulation is unlikely to achieve the objectives sought by those sympathetic to the pro-NN argument. Worse, how this could actually entrench and cement greater monopoly ISP control.
What you’ll get is stagnation. The field as we see it now, will tend to persist exactly as it is, and well into the future we’ll wonder why our network infrastructures got neglected compared to freer places abroad.
Similar to what you have with your water, power, etc., the regulation scheme actually implemented is likely to get laden with policy where potential competitors would need to “show need” to upgrade, and incumbent providers are granted monopoly territory in exchange for regulated pricing, as already occurs with other utilities. Some of this already happens in some jurisdictions, and these areas tend to have worse service. FCC policy under Title II would tend to enlarge and cement that sort of behavior.
WE the People just handed the internet over to the Federal Government.. Great idea.. giving government more control has never gone wrong before.. right? Ohh…
for all that want this you don’t know what you started the end of the internet is coming hope you are happy
You don’t realize that you ceded to the FCC, you have ceded your rights already, and the internet is doomed in the long run. They have declared it a public utility, morons. You are led by your equality religion into believing all content providers deserve equal treatment. They don’t, and having different lanes is what government does, what makes you think an ISP can do things differently to begin with? So don’t be outraged at the thought of slow and fast lanes, there is not free lunch.
Know this. The head of the FCC now, was the head lobyist for Comcast and TimeWerner. They made him a multi millionare. Do you really think he will attack source of his pas and Future wealth? Seriously? So you belive the wolf will guard the Sheep. Rrrrrighht sure sure it will.
You are fucking blind if you think the FCC will do what they promise. They will sneak in and post about how great they make things and then slowly they will block this and block that, charge tax for internet, slow speeds or shut down a website like FB so people can’t post about current world events. You all fight for freedom but let Government control yet another part of your life that is one of the last free things we have.
Great information, but stop saying “you know” over and over and over,
‘you know.’
FUCK FCC AND ESRB
Curly hair guy is cute 😀
