At Detroit’s North American International Auto Show, we had a chance to ride in an all-electric car that’s assembled in a very, very unusual way. It’s not fast, but it gets plenty of looks.

Awesome! I can’t wait to see this 5 versions from now.
Is it street legal? Does it meet US safety standards?
This is like a perfect car for city driving.
Gimmick!
Create a car ✔, next step, build a house.
you should do something woth your beard man..
people in the comments, this is pretty much entirely to showcase the vast capabilities of 3D printing. this being used in real life situations is probably a little more further down the road. see what i did there? roads…cars go on roads. get it? hehe…he..he.….…..hue
You can totally download a car now!
i wanna see the us army thingy
you better 3D print yourself a new life if you get in a fender bender in this car. All plastic would make you fear a smart car like its a train.
The future is bright!
“You wouldn’t download a car.”
i would love to torrent this car 😀 and just drive around the place ahaha
I want to 3d print my girlfriend with bimbo .. so I can du du every night..
The begginning of the future!
what if someone buys it in like 18 month from now and strolls around the neighborhood to show off then the next morning it gets stolen
Looks like a death trap.
If you got into fender bender you did you just print yourself a new part.….or die
“Just 3D print yourself a new part”
lel assuming you make it out alive from the crash xD
I’m going to this on January 17 years!!!
yes*
This annoys me how Americans can 3D print cars, yet I still can’t watch a video in 1080p. C’mon, internet catch up!
Someone should show them sandpaper
You get in a fender bender with any vehicle over 50mph.…you’ll be dead!
Will these be sanded smooth or have body filler applied to them?
The music is so groovy… Want
It looks like a batmobile for Robin or what Batman would drive if he was in Mario Kart
adult power wheels!
“Getting in the car feels wierd” Go fuck yourself dammit
This better be less than 4K for a car. Can’t imagine paying 20–30k and the stupid thing gets hit by a drunk running at it.…yes…running at it.
We need to create something that smooths the lines in 3D finished objects
3D printing technology will become more affordable as most menial jobs vanish due to advancements in robotics. There will be a short boom of westerners (in the early to mid 2020s) who start their own 3D printing/internet based companies until the technology becomes cheap enough to reach India and China. The people there will pirate/counterfeit EVERYTHING and sell it online cheaper than the west ever could, destroying the economy world wide. There will be no answer to how this new technology and copyright/patent infringement could be enforced, resulting in hundreds of millions of westerners with no income and leaving the third world even poorer.
In the meantime, Islamic people (and other groups) having moved to Europe and the US to have a better life will tire of the immoralities that exist in those places and will become extremists, essentially bringing their old war to the new world as governments pool their resources to protect the wealth of those who helped them get into political office, creating a true big brother system. Welcome to the future.
I don’t think u can 3D print a new life if you get into a bad crash in this
I’ve been to the Microfactory in Oak Ridge that does stuff like this.
