We got the chance to ride the Acton RocketSkates at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, which wasn’t easy. But in expert mode on the R6, you can go 12 miles per hour with a range of 6 miles.

Air gear
Wtf? People dont wanna walk anymore?
It’s official Sam Schefer is now the honorary lab rat for the Verge.
The evolved form of Heelys.
They look like wheelchairs for your feet 😀
RocketSkates, or how I call them, InstaSprainedAnkle
Rather get one of those electric tricycle things
rather have a decent ebike if i ever get the money to have one.
why dont you buy some rollerblades you idiots
A ton of work went into making extremely slow and clumsy versions of the inline skate. They’ll have to be much easier before you have the ‘lazy people market’. Nobody will be giving up their real skates for theses slow, segway style foot fetters.
Can you say air gear in development
Wow it only cost $4.99? I will be buying like 50 of them.
I would learn that in 1 minute. Also, awesome
why do they always get the most nonathletic guy to review these kinds of gadgets? smh
quite useless
only thing comes in my mind was battery life…
ever since i changed to android era
papete do seninha
I bought the R10 model. They’re not that hard to ride and did not take my friends and myself 20 minutes to figure it out. It’s simple. One is dominant.
Put the dominant skate on your “weaker” foot and put the other skate on your other foot. This allows for your “dominant foot” or back foot to stabilize and control direction until you find your individual balance with it. After you find your balance; It is easy to forget which is the dominant one.
Everyone’s center of balance is different and they must find their own way to balance it. The fact that it took him 20 friggin’ minutes to find his is on him; Not the product. My 12 year old niece had them on and was fine in under 10 mins WITHOUT instruction.
P.S: They’re easy to walk in as well. Dreams do come true.
So basically if a heeley and a segway had a baby, this would be it.
who else thought of Johnny Knoxville’s rocket skates?
Can you wear these while you drive a car?
