Samsung Galaxy Tab S6: Good, but good enough?

That may be faint praise, but it’s still an overall excellent update with a new S Pen stylus.

Looks great. But no headphone jack, no deal.
Verdict too weak and too quick.
Tab s6 is very underrated!! Though it lacks proper apps like iPad but the best value for money tablet!!
This is only my opinion from the perspective of an illustrator. The S Pen in the tab S6 is way more accurate for drawing, inking, illustration, and digital arts in general. This has to do with the pen technology which comes from the reputed Japanese-based company Wacom. The Apple pencil 2 is a solid second choice because it doesn’t match the feel of a proper pencil when drawing fast. In third place we got the Surface Pro pen because its active technology is way slower in recognizing fast strokes when sketching. This is the single most important detail for any art minded individuals out there. Interestingly, for taking notes on a daily basis any of these top three options would be a great decision; however I would give its fair advantage to the Microsoft Surface Pro for being a full fledged computer in tablet form, and not a mobile-based computing solution, the Surface is portable, incredibly light, and powerful given its size. I had the slight impression this review didn’t credited the tab S6 for its strengths, so I differ with the reviewer’s opinion. If you are on the market for a portable sketchbook suitable for drawing and inking ideas on the go, make no mistake and give Samsung’s tablet a chance because it offers you the best digital pen out there; keep in mind they have been developing this S Pen for years, that is way before Apple even thought of creating a digital pencil for the iPad.
u r so cute👌🏼
I’m watching this on my iPad
Insider Leak: Apple and Samsung spend considerable resources to make using another system more difficult too learn by moving things and inventing new terminology. The focus is not “ease of use” but to instill confusion should someone consider buying from another company.…
I’m getting this for school cause stuff surface there’s no phone apps that I need and use. Also better for me since I use Samsung devices such as watch, phone, earphones and the TV.
It is very compelling to get a Tablet if the surface Pro is only used for Microsoft apps when I can access it anywhere from my phone to other devices such as school desktops without any hassle. I use One Drive. Which makes it so easy to access all my Microsoft files.
No. Saved your time
Horrible review
I went from an iPad Pro with the frustratingly limited Apple Pencil, to the Tab S6 with the S‑Pen and Keyboard. As a media device first, productivity second, this tablet is a monster! It blows the iPad screen and speakers out of the water! (AMOLED + quad Dolby Atmos tuned speakers! Add in the keyboard, and you have a part time business device.
So, for $650 to start, it comes with the S‑Pen. Find the deals online if you want this tablet. I got lucky and received a $50 gift card for the tablet, and purchased the keyboard at 50% off, and was able to use the gift card for it (brought it down to $40).
Similarly, I saw the Tab S6 go on a sale last week for $200 off!
You can’t go wrong with the Tab S6. Yes, it’s the only Android flagship tablet, but it’s so worth it for users like me (heavy media, light productivity). If you can, grab the official Samsung folio or keyboard case as the fit, design, and usability are amazing on them as well.
I pretty much hold these three opinions:
Phone — Android
Tablet — iPad
Laptop/Productivity — Windows
She blatantly called it the tab x 6 twice in the video. Come on c net, we expect better.
which app are u using in 1:36?
This review could have been way better in my opinion. I was really interested in seeing how DeX looked and operated on the Galaxy Tab S6. There are feature updates and hardware specs that weren’t even talked about as well. I have both the Surface Pro and the iPad Pro and while they are completely two different animals in terms of functionality, they both work well and actually compliment each other to some degree. I believe the Galaxy Tab S6 could be just as good as an iPad for most people looking for a budget priced, full featured Pro type tablet. Just wish you would have pointed that out though.
The audio could have been better.
Switched from an iPad to the Tab s6. I get so much more done on s6, iPad feels like it’s meant for kids or adults who just wanna mess around, which is fine, but as a productivity device, mouse and keyboard + Android/DEX beat out an iPad any day. DeX mode is great for productivity and there are even full linux apps your can run. Being able to browse system files is also great, looking at you Apple.
The 2018 IPad Pro is still quite more powerful, however the real reason I’d go for the Pro is because of the 120hz and it’ll be updated for quite a long time.
It’s much more advanced than the iPad Pro BUT…the iPad Pro, I have to admit, has better pen writing accuracy and a brighter screen. I use it for note taking at University. OneNote is amazing on it. Even my older Tab S3 has better accuracy than the Tab S6. Still, it looks stunning and the build quality is very iPad-esque. People think it’s an iPad Pro. The battery life is better on the S6. I would buy the Tab S6 again for the fast action and more taking. The iPad Pro is too restrictive. I can plug in my S6 into any computer and dump files onto it. You can dry that with an Apple products. Android is customizable with Nova Launcher. Every Apple product looks the same. Absolutely boring with no way to change the UI.
I prefer buying the Samsung Galaxy Tab A. They’re great tablets and affordable.
iPad is a better choice.
It starts at much lower price of 250 dollars, has free softwares from Apple and offers superior performance.
I appreciate Samsung for trying to keep alive Android tablet category though…Everyone else has left the android tablet space…
What a short, lacking review, could have just skipped this and go to lunch in those nice restaurants in the background, we have enough reviews of this product.
Hiii 🙂 thanx for the video . I have one question though. I wonder if this samsung tab S6 is coming whit a screen film protection? As at the Samsung Galaxy S10+ ? Thanx for ur help n answer… I really appreciate it if some can help 😊
GReat video of tab s6 I ever seen 1no.
1:44 your sound in studio recording was similar to Japanese infomercial
Im sorry but did anyone one else find this review: uninformative and worthless??
Samsung beat their tablets with their Note phones. I have a Tab S4 and hardly use it. I don’t really feel like I need it with my Note 10 Plus.b
Hola qué tal me puedes ayudar en traducir todo está anuncio por favor antemano mil gracias 🙂
If you want a laptop buy one.
If you have the money, like expensive stuff and you love apple get the ipad.
If u don’t want to break the bank, get more for less, want the product to get the job done get the tab s6. Also, in my experience I can implement alot of ipad features into my android device but not the other way.
Comparing is senseless you get what you like and what works for you😁🧗♀️🤪
Now that windows can run on arm. Why don’t companies create a tablet that runs both windows and android
you so cute enough
Not as good as the old 12.2″ they had. Awful keyboard.
TBH it still looks legit. And I will by this during the holidays.
$180 for a keyboard that isn’t even backlit?? Why be so cheap, Samsung?! Why?
Tab s6 is super
I’m a student and am confused on whether to buy Galaxy S6 or iPad Air. I would need the tablet to make notes and watch videos and stuff majorly so probably won’t be using the keyboard. Also want to keep the long term performance of the device in mind. Please suggest which one to go for.
Poor review
You end video saying it’s not worth it but give no examples as to why… learn to YouTube
Yeah we saw the s pen and keyboard but how about talking about the actual freakin tablet??
CNET must be biased towards other tablets to give the Samsung a 3.5 rating.
Got the tab s5e looking forward to the Galaxy Tab S20 welcome to the future…
Poor review. Lazy to research more or you just dont want people to know the real capabilities of tab s6? It was a waste of time watching your video.
What s her name
Toooo expensive
Why do none of these reviews drive home how good of a deal it is to have a hi-res OLED screen on an affordable tablet? The S6’s screen is incredible!
Newsflash, Not everyone is an Apple fanboy or fangirl! It’s PC / Android for me. The only Apple product I liked was the IPod & when it died, I was done. I Love my S6! Just stick with reviewing Apple products only since you people seem to have a bias towards Android.
