Is Greg Hospodor a bald Cok. Sanders reenactor, or does he just like the chicken?
10:00 This is called ‘slave talk’ The rich and powerful create wars. You are forced to do their bidding or you go to prison or shot against a wall. STOP following their rules, ONLY reason we are at 37% taxes… YOU STILL PAY IT!
Lew Wallace…Ben Hur
Grant did not anticipate the attack and almost saw a catastrophic defeat. He stayed too far from his army hence him arriving late. Thank God for Sherman and Grant’s ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Sherman took multiple bullet wounds and horses shot out from under him. Hero of Shiloh.
US GRANT!!!
People wonder why people pirate Movies and TV shows
Grant was the single finest warrior that this nation has ever produced… Except for Washington and Patton. Too close to call.
I hate to be difficult.…but Grant commanded the UNITED STATES ARMY.
He did nothing. Nothing tactical other than land his force at Pittsburg Landing
Look at Sherman’s eyes, focus
Lots of conjecture abt what people said, might have said or were thinking. Surprisingly devoid of actual evidence based history.
The forests in this video are awfully coniferous. I’ve actually been to Shiloh- it was years ago but I don’t remember it being a coniferous biome
There ought to be a Call of Duty game of General Grant’s campaigns.
Lew Wallace went on to write Ben Hur and to be the governor of New Mexico that tried to deal with Billy the Kid.
Brother against brother. I never want our country to suffer through this again.
Amazing fact. Fatalism. Wisdom. Fortitude. This President doesn’t get the honor he deserves. President Teddy Roosevelt thought that the three greatest Presidents were : Washington, Lincoln and Grant
The good guys have won every major conflict for the past 200 years.….….
Actual History? On the History Channel?? Well color me surprised
They’re are Zero Trump supporting Patriots 😵💫😂
Was a great show
Crazy Gettysburg was happening the same time as this battle
An unbelievable amount of whining on here. “(Crying), I wish the History channel would do History again, boo, hoo, hoo.”
It doesn’t pay the bills people. Get over it.
I can even see early in this docudrama. Wallace on the left pincer and Buell on the Right pincer with Grant in the Middle.
The reality programs are rehearsed, and fake for the majority of situations.
Shiloh was indeed a place of peace. A place where the righteous defeated the slave holders. A place where the United States Army gave notice to the slaveholding CSA. A place where the United States of America would prevail.
The true glory of Grant lives forever.
Grant😢
Lew Wallace was most likely blocking out a couple of chapters of Ben Hur… 😆🤔
What you would have called a Pirric Victory, win the battle, but at tio geeat a cost.
When they say they fell back from the ravine, it’s more like they fell in place at the ravine. The ravine is now a meat bowl of Confederate Stew.
I miss the old history channel. When it WAS about history.
As a child of 9 in the year 1966… I visited the battlefield with my family. On a day that was foggy, I saw the line of cannons opposite the Hornet’s Nest and Sunken Road. The Bloody Pond was still red, but not from the blood of the dead, but because of the soil color. I stood by the tree where Johnston had been mortally wounded and walked into the rivene where he died. The most terrible part was seeing the mass graves of the soldiers. “Here lies 500 unknown Union or Confederate soldiers… known but to God”. The areas were hardly the area of a travel trailer in size, and there were too many of them not shown in this program.
Grant was drunk.
Justin Salinger is a ringer for Grant. Just as I imagine him. Nailed it. Wonderful.
Trump is new Grant make MAGA! 🇺🇸
Who are they’re enemy?
True american hero grant
why is everything only 10n min long
One of my favorite american leaders, General and President Grant, and im a filipino.
I love shows like this.
Lee was the better general
dope content
3:18 General Petraeus .… Your comment about cavalry…
Check your facts Sir. I located and planned the Bin Laden Raid.…. Horses were not of consequence.…. except to pull the parrot guns.…. the rifles the determining Factor.… And for Stonewall the bayonet.….. And disease — of the 620 000 who died, 2/3 were from disease (estimated). So horse be damned, few cavalry had them anyway
