5G is almost a reality. Here’s what it’ll really feel like — https://cnet.co/2q5yTY1
Hello guys love your vids
We still have issues with constant fast lte speeds…
Will be like hell
Common place in two years? I was thinking in four. Dang
This is a joke right? Carriers throttle all of us with one of their many “UNLIMITED” plans while taking subsedies and being paid by the government with our tax dollars for our current infrastructure, and yet they want to pretend they are doing us a favor with “5G”. We’ve paid off 5G back in 2006. Still waiting to see our tax dollars at work.
in S.Korea, carriers are starting to claim spots on subways to get their 5g devices installed. I thought 5g was coming sooner but no… Disappointed… Eh, 4g fast enough anyways
5G is going to be extremely unreliable with spotty coverage. You literally need line of sight for it to work well, even your hand or a person walking in front of the beam can disrupt the signal. Maybe in the long run we’ll have everything blanketed with signal but there could be real health concerns with 5G saturation. I think it’s going to be a mess for a while.
5G will not offer any of what was claimed in the video, as 5G is not as capable as fiber to the home, and even that is unable to offer what was claimed (at least with the current gigabit fiber connections). Cloud gaming is still a bad experience (on top of being a waste of money when you consider the long term costs). 5G does not solve any of the airtime issues of 4G LTE, thus in a congested city, even if they were to give the cell tower a 50 trillion gigabit backhaul, it would still be a slow experience in densely populated areas since wireless is still a collision domain, thus airtime needs to be shared.
Furthermore, 4G LTE was suppose to be capable of offering users 1+Gbps download speeds, but we have never seen customers get anything close to that. That is because cell companies will not offer such throughput to their users. It is hard enough to get a wired provider to offer it, thus the 10 gigabit max speed of 5G will likely also not be seen in the real world.
Under lab conditions, unlike 5G where they top out at 10 gigabits, a single strand of fiber has been tested to handle a data rate equivalent to that of all internet activity on the planet simultaneously with ample room to spare. The current bottlenecks with fiber, are the endpoints. With the limits of fiber not being anywhere in sight, many people consider it to be a 100 year infrastructure, as many believe that it will be at least 100 more years before we begin to reach its throughput limits.
With such a medium, we have not seen wired connections become revolutionized, and this is because the medium does not magically make servers, routers, and switches faster. We have not reached the limits of 4G yet, thus 5G will likely not change much for users beyond a slightly more efficient airtime sharing allowing towers to handle a small number of additional users. The vast majority of users will not see much of an improvement in their day to day use.
It’s meant more for homes than cellular LOL they’re going to give cable a run for their money
Will 5G replace coax and fiber?
I understand 5G wont be as reliable as fiber to home but will it be better than copper to home? if so. Great!!
Literally the us has the slowest internet in the world
5G, 4G what does it matter?, people are already phone zombies and now you want to bring dsl type speeds over a mobile network. Me, I don’t care about 5G, I just want to be able to go places without having spotty coverage or dropped calls, and they never perfected that with 4G. the future really is going to be full of idiots.
3G was bad, when we went to 4g I was amazed by the speed, I’m content with 4g, what’s 5g going to actually bring to the table ?
Regarding 5G,if I’m looking to buy a new phone, should I be taking 5G into consideration? I would like to hold onto my phone for at least two years. But there are not many potions right now, just the Moto Z (loved my MXPE, can’t stand the Z…) and prob one of the SGS10 (but most probably the most expensive one…).
Right now, I’m waiting for the OP6t and SGS10. No phones on the market really talks to me right now (except maybe the Razer Phone 2 or HMate 20 Pro, but not really…)
5G will unlock many many health issues.
5g will boost cancer rates you guys and thats the least of our worries!
What a propaganda they can tel it so great but they dont speak of the mayor Health effects like burning skin brain tumors Total mind control.
“welcometrufickhhckhtynineimkwbahsjay”
5G IS A WEAPON PERIOD! WAKE UP!!!
5G is a sinister spy grid and slow kill totalitarian police state weapon system sold under the guise of faster downloads to the dumbed down masses through weaponized propaganda posing as authoritative news outlets.
whipping out that jameson
These comments are giving me more cancer than 5G ever will.
4G will be slower than usual then 5G is like 4G right now this how our world works hahaha
