Yet still white people care more about africa then africa itself LUL…
It’s its actually pronounced “ihlwa”…
As a Zulu person, zulu doesnt have a weapon called iklwa. Zulus uses what is called umkhonto.
For honor y’all watching??
Weapons used by the Egyptians. Do that one.
The short spear Iklwa is nice!
The real best African blade is OJs knife
I miss the Zande spear from central Africa definitely the scariest spear I have ever seen
More like forged with 4 fuckheads
These range of African swords
Will be great for my long grass 😄
I can’t believe you left out the Salampasu Sword, a great cut- and thrust headhunter tribe sword.
Wish each country or region of Africa would get its own individual section on weapons they used instead of “top African” like how they made “top Japanese” or “top Indian” etc weapon specials. Just make a “top Ethiopia weapons” or “top central African weapons” at least and not do this continental generalist thing
I’ve never seen African weapons before outside of some fantasy setting like Wakanda. But I decided to look into it some more after seeing the Ngombe Ngulu in action, wow that blade is not only oddly designed, but it’s powerful.
I would venture to say that it is no wonder that African, in particular, Southern African/Zulu, lost battles and campaigns with appalling weapons such as these.
I’m a sword guy but I make an exception for the zulu iklwa.
Wait, why did the Zulu have metal weapons but cow-skin shields?
Why did the Zulu have metal weapons but not metal armor?
African swords are way cooler than any katana.
It really does sound like Ikwa😮
Ngombe means cow in bantu , most of the blades here were used for ceremonial animal sacrifices, as my grandpa tells me. Spears were the primary weapons and poison arrows

Running the other direction if someone through that at you would just get you killed. You should be running perpendicular.
Bow that Ida looks like a real blade
All my life, I’ve wanted an Iklwa. Seeing in this video confirmed it for me. I’m getting myself one for my next birthday. Thank you.
