The research in this video is so off. A real dao is not wobbly, there’s no such thing as a “tai chi” sword. It’s called a jian, and many traditions teach it not just taiji.

This is awful. Jian and dao are 2 different things. If it has 1 edge, it is a dao. If it has 2 edges and is straight, it is Jian. Not “gin”. There are tons of variations, and there is something “kinda” called a jiandao 剑刀, but it’s mostly cheap katana knockoffs used to lead you to their etsy page. I know you’re a knife and sword expert, and I like the show, but lean into your own lane. Don’t pretend you know when you clearly don’t.
