How about if the fin­ger­print sen­sor is on the side next to the pow­er but­ton? On screen fin­ger­print sen­sor seems a lit­tle far away from per­fec­tion like flex­i­ble phones.

A phone with con­tin­ued and ade­quate phone sup­port that does­n’t throt­tle down per­for­mance as the phone ages, just because it ages. And every­one can’t do phone assis­tants, nix bixby.

I just dis­liked the video when I heard notch then liked the video again after you told about on about screen fin­ger­print, prob­a­bly did­n’t under­stood at first that it was a joke

Hav­ing an eras­er at the top of the spen will require users to flip the pen over, when I could just press a damn but­ton and car­ry on with my busi­ness. Nah, I’ll pass.

In-dis­play fin­ger­print scan­ner was already con­firmed NOT to be com­ing to the Note9. Rea­son­ing is unclear, some say it was­n’t ready in time, oth­ers say it’s being with­held on pur­pose. Either way, it all points at the hard­ware being used in the S10. Now, as for what I’d like to see?

1. A big­ger bat­tery is a must — and have qual­i­ty com­po­nents with prop­er test­ing. That’s been a thing for awhile now. For instance, the LG X Pow­er — a def­i­nite mid-range device — came out in 2016 rockin’ a mas­sive 4100mAh battery…wtf was Sam­sung doing? Exper­i­ment­ing with 3000–3500mAh and hav­ing poor QC test­ing pro­to­cols that led to the Note7 dis­as­ter (and lan­guish­ing behind the com­pe­ti­tion for a few years). Time to step it WAY up there. If you’re gonna have a huge screen and a ton of fea­tures & gim­micks, soft­ware opti­miza­tion will only car­ry you so far. Hav­ing the hard­ware to begin with is vital.
2. This is wish­ful think­ing: faster updates. We all know that Sam­sung is per­haps THE WORST Android OEM when it comes to soft­ware & OS updates. If they could impose their will onto car­ri­ers in order to get updates out faster — smart­phones are an invest­ment at any lev­el — then that would rock. There’s no excuse for the Note9 to be com­ing out with out­dat­ed soft­ware (like­ly 8.1) and then have to wait almost a year after the full release of Android P (aka 9.0) to get it at all.
3. Flat screen, come back home!! The Edge screen isn’t total­ly bad. Sure, it makes life a bit rough for case design­ers & man­u­fac­tur­ers, but it’s pret­ty fun oth­er­wise. How­ev­er, keep the curved Edge screens to the main­stream Galaxy S line, bring the FLAT screen BACK to the Galaxy Note line!!
4. This is more or less nit­pick­ing, but a slight­ly thick­er S‑Pen sty­lus would­n’t hurt. And it could per­haps rub off on the indus­try. A stur­dy sty­lus is a hap­py stylus…the only down­side is that it’d prob­a­bly require a thick­er device as well.
5. Let’s take the remap­pable Bix­by but­ton a step fur­ther: right out the box, folks should be able to choose or even turn off their assis­tant: Google Assis­tant, Bix­by, etc.
