Seeing as how he collected teeth, I couldn’t help but think of tooth fairies. Maybe, children were told those things (about tooth fairies collecting baby teeth and leave behind money/treats) so later the parents could collect those teeth and sell them to people studying or collecting teeth.

If I were him I’d feel it’s my responsibility to have forensic reconstructions done of all the skulls, especially since many have no names to go with them. Just to give a little bit of their humanity back so they’re not just objects but to remind myself they did in fact have a life once
Beautiful collection, honestly a dream of mine as I own a human skull, along with a skeleton. This does make me happy to see im not the only collector trying to persevere medical/human history. 🦇 Hope to go to the oddities flea market one of these years. 🦴💀
