Dolly are you gonna do this like normal or not? What’s left of Eric
humans are scary i relly do believe its still a good tthing covid 19 happen
Great, now make one about the arab slave trade
That is not true. The trans- Saharan slave trade was 100% based on race. The slaves were taken from Ethiopia and Somalia and sold across north Africa, Arabia and parts of the Roman empire. The black female slaves were sought after because it was seen as exotic to have black concubines in wealthy Arabs Harams. Most the male slaves were castrated as the price from a castrated slave was so much higher. The horrors of the Atlantic slave trade are shocking enough without the need to lie like this woman is doing . It doesn’t do any good for people genuinely interested in learning about the horrors of slavery. Why does the history channel allow misinformation and lies for nothing more than entertainment purposes.
Shame.
I watched this for homework, I told my coworker about it, she remembered the things that through the years she has heard and was sad again and mad. Very sad
Bru
The majority of them was sell for another tribes in wars
thats just sad
In 1624, George Percy, president of the Colony in Virginia , wrote of a horrifying event in his memoir, “that one of our Colony murdered his wife, ripped the child out of her womb and threw it into the river and after chopped the Mother in pieces and salted her for his food. When I read “this” in my college textbook that had been written by a ‘self-titled’-‘White’ author, I realized in that moment that there is “nothing” that some people will not do in self-interest. (The ‘wife’ was only fourteen years old.)
The lies they tell… The math doesn’t add up..
I ask myself How can another human being have the heart to treat their own kind in such sickening and disturbing manner 💔
What’s the name of the movie in the background??
Slavery had been the cornerstone of society since societies began. They chose Africans because they were easy to obtain and made economic sense, not because they hated blacks. Slaves were always people that were easy to conquer and provided no cost labor. You have to ignore the African kings that rounded up and sold the slaves for this narrative to hold up.
When they were slaves they were happy they’re mine were right
American Presidents loved owning slaves. Thomas Jefferson owned over 600 slaves. 12 US Presidents owned slaves.
After being under there for months being forced to do labor would feel like a reward that shi is so fking horrific. Half of them probably died on the ship I couldn’t even imagine the ptsd. Most people in our generation wouldn’t survive even if it was them by themselves under the ship
Amistad
Horrific, evil, and unimaginable. And as a white man, I am sorry.
And yet their grandsons are playing for their countries kissing their flag! what a shame
European Christians are monsters with no heart.
Black people enslaved each other Into slavery so save me the gimicss
Do you know that the same blacks of África capture and sell their neighbords
Irish were slaves.
A lot of lies being told
Africans sold their own people for 4000 years, Europeans ended Africans selling Africans
American history is taught whites hunted Africans but ALMOST all African Americans are descended by people who were conquered or defeated in battle and sold to Europeans by other Africans.
im not black but id be proud to be if i was… i stand by dr king and brother malcom
Those times, people were literally like animals. And I’m afraid these times could come back… 😓
Slavery in the US is a myth. Employees during that time were highly compensated for their menial labor. They were provided food, clothing, housing, medical care, valuable vocational training and transportation to and from their places of work. They were better compensated then than most people are today, and they didn’t have to pay taxes. They were provided an escape from slavery in Africa to a place where their descendants would be able to live free and be spoiled by luxuries invented and provided by White benefactors.
A‑Train to africa
lucky this aint insta comments
anybody else writing an essay on the middle passage like me
Only the strong survive 🎉
Ms Paul I watched the video
No. The trans Saharan slave trade ran from way before and after the Atlantic slave trade and ot was predicted on only certain groups were to be enslaved like sub Saharan Africans. Arabs had rules and regulations about enslavement of their own people. Is this the History Channel? It bothers me because the Atlantic slave trade doesn’t need to be lied about or exaggerated . It was horrific without that.
Out of all the races and ethnicities that were enslaved the Africans definitely were treated the worst. As hated as the Irish were we got the fkn royal treatment in comparison.
Justice truth be ours for all❤🇯🇲
Let us not forget the millions and millions of Africans shipped to and enslaved in Brazil. Even today their influence can be felt in the culture of Brazil, and I feel their story, especially their rebellions, are not told as much as they should be.
what’s the movie in this video come from?
To the europeans and arabs how could you do this to another human being
Slavery was not started by Europeans, it was Arabs. African slavery is not any different to any other type of slavery.
Nat dalb plus tot in sua am us și uk slaves au si afr ideal cor
I love how a story like roots from the 1970s is some how my fault. My family didn’t have slaves ever. We came here from Ireland worked hard and were treated like trash. So if my family can do it so can yours
Some transportees did better. Most faced an abundance of salt in their food and not enough water. This had a generational affect. I did have lessons about individuals, who did better than the norm. Translators, professional cooks and fish people were picked out. in various ways.
(DEUTERONOMY 28:68
PSALMS 107:10–12)IMMANUEL!!!
I’d like to think that if I was southern Middle Class back then, I’d be against slavery because I am good person. But knowing how easily it was socially accepted, I very likely would have had a few myself. And knowing that is scary
