Not sure the siren is meant to replace a whistle or an air horn
That’s really interesting. I haven’t looked at the marketing on it, but I do wonder what their intended use cases are. That range means that maybe, on a quiet night, someone could hear the watch siren the next street up from mine. So it’s probably too limited for outdoor search and rescue. But there is also a hearing safety issue. If they made the alarm too loud, it might damage your hearing, which may not matter in an actual emergency, but wouldn’t be good if it was easy to set off accidentally.
