After his famous expedition to map the American West with William Clark, Meriwether Lewis recorded details of the adventure in a journal and intended to publish it. Yes Meriwether Lewis was murdered for his journal. The cover up went deeper than anyone expected. A contract was put out on his life, but not for the reasons you may think, not just for his journals, it was to cover up a land claim by the vice President Aaron Burr. Lewis was smarter than that he made sure the only claim that could be made would be by President Jefferson for America. William Clark was a witness to these facts.
There are a lot more lies about our history to find!

I had heard several times, and other videos quite possibly Meriwether Lewis was killed rather than having committed suicide. As far as the claims other Welch, when stones or landmarks, I thought that had been debunked some years ago.
