Hang on women in hip hop so where’s Salt n Pepa??? They were THE FIRST ladies to do mainstream crossovers, having chart and touring success around the world. They paved the way massively for the pop/R&B and rap collaborations which Minaj and Cardi have done more recently and where’s the original Queen B Lil Kim?? Who made an impact musically and visually with bleaching her skin, her vibrant hair and clothes and her surgerys ALL have since been copied by Minaj.
DONDE ESTA NICKI MINAJ?
What a lack of respect that one of the greatest rap artists is not here, not even a photo, in short, long live the queen of rap NICKI MINAJ
Are y’all smokin sum? I don’t even comment on internet stuff but this is WACK asf how dare you leave out the literal QUEEN OF HIP HOP herself. Netflix is so disrespectful and disgusting for that. Absolutely ridiculous and a disgrace to the culture. Nickis impact will forever be felt. YOU CAN NEVER ERASE OR DUPLICATE HER NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY! Ima barb for life. I love and stand with Nicki. This is garbage I’m cancelling my subscription indefinitely, Hulu is better anyways!!!
Missy and Nicki didn’t license their music for this plus Salt N Pepa, Trina and J.J. Fad aren’t even in this what the hell Netflix?
Not one of those women named the black woman in the culture in the video😂
Imagine not Putting Nicki and Crediting Nicki Minaj but PUTTING NICKI MINAJ’s haters on it lol
What if Nicki turned the producers down. A lot of iconic rappers weren’t included also. No foxy, lil kim or missy… While some were included like queen latifah, rah digga, remy, mc lyte etc.… Guys it’s not that serious.
What is a woman?
Yall only getting bent out of shape just over Nicki and not the others that were missing☠️☠️
Nicki?? Missy?? Foxy??🤔
Where is Nicki????!!!!!
no KIM?
So the highest selling Female Rapper is not in the documentary about women in hip-hop??? Not even a mention of Nicki Minaj???.…. Flop ass docu 😹😹
Y’all complaining about no Nicki or Missy but there’s also, no Kim, no Foxy, no TLC/LeftEye (yes TLC contributed to HipHop as well), no Eve, no Trina… They probably could not contribute or appear on the doc so they don’t show them. Nicki got her fans believing someone is always hating on her when she’s the only one who invests her time showing her stats and dissing or putting other chicks down calling them “her sons” 🤦🏾♂️ Prior to Cardi collaborating w new rap chicks, Nicki was never putting new girls on, so let’s keep it real. She was all about herself and still is. She’s even riding Ice Spice wave, why? Because the kids love Ice Spice, so it keeps her relevant & gain more younger fans. Business move there! There are so many better rappers than Ice, but Ice was okay with being titled Number Two. That’s the truth. Nicki wants people to kiss her feet and call her the Queen 🤷🏾♂️
1. Netflix, you’re missing the last 15 years of female rap dominance and she’s still dominating! 2. All of these newer female rappers admit they were inspired by whom? Ask for a feature from who? 3. No one’s watching this joke of a docu-series without The Queen of Rap. 4. I’m sick of Queen Latifah’s fake female rap unity act. This docu-series kicks off with a woman who threw her shoe at Nicki Minaj and never apologized. Queen Latifah was also on stage at Summer Jam when Remy Ma said “F‑ck Nicki Minaj” with a mock eulogy picture on the screen and performed Shether that she could not remember all the words to because she didn’t write it. 5. Nicki’s Monster verse alone is better than all of these rappers’ discographies featured in this docu-series.
You GARBZ gotta chill, there’s obviously a reason nicki isn’t included. Missy, Lil kim, foxy, Doja ain’t either. I don’t think they intentionally left them out, come on…. There’s a REASON. So quit bashing Netflix! 🤦🏽♀️
Not mentioning the most SUCCESSFUL and AWARDED and most CERTIFIED female rapper of all time makes this void. One female carried the torch for over a decade and revived the genre single handedly and there was not a single clip or mention of her? You can’t erase someone like that. No matter how hard you try. This documentary will come and go but that doesn’t change the facts and what the people know, even if they don’t like the fact. The further irony is all the new girls shown emulate and show how they are inspired by her. What a joke
Ultimate influencers of the culture? That is, was and will always be black men…no matter how Jake plot and scheme otherwise. These women whole persona is a twin to black men. Just the female version.
I’m so glad Rapsody Tierra Whack and Chika is In this
Nicki Minaj ? Where is the queen of rap/hip-hop ??????
Nicki Minaj
Onika Tanya Maraj
Nickiiiiiiiii
Too Bad if The Queen is on this Documentary she will outshine them all
“Am the Star 🌟 in every room that I stand in” quoting the Queen 👑
How are you gon make a documentary about Female Rap w/out including THE Nicki Minaj? Are ya’ll okay? Cuz ain’t now way ya’ll r serious🤨
Great!🎉
They always leave jj fad out I’m glad to see the mother aka Roxanne Shante
Let’s watch the doc before we go in. If Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, or Missy Elliott aren’t referenced, then Houston, we have a problem! But at least watch first so you don’t make a fool of yourself.
LADIES FIRST FAM❤❤❤2023
See I am the stripclub by iggy on this make me feel alive..! That video is art ❤
But will this talk about how they over sexualize themselves? Or will this be nithijg more than a hype fest? Will in encourage women to be like Sex Red?
From what I’m hearing is Netflix didn’t get the ok to license Nicki, missy, and others music so if that’s the case ok. But that better be the only reason🙂
What?
Congratulations. I’m so glad this channel gets the recognition it deserves.
