America The Story of Us is an epic 12-hour television event that tells the extraordinary story of how America was invented. With highly realistic CGI animation, dramatic recreations and thoughtful insights from some of America’s most respected artists, business leaders, academics and intellectuals, it is the first television event in nearly 40 years to present a comprehensive telling of America’s history. Elaborate, ambitious and cinematic, America The Story of Us will take you into the moments when Americans harnessed technology to advance human progress, from the rigors of linking the continent by transcontinental railroad–the internet of its day–to triumphing over vertical space through the construction of steel structured buildings to putting a man on the moon. It is an intensive look at the people, places and things that have shaped our nation, and the tough and thrilling adventure that is America’s 400-year history.

Interesting the lengths this channel will go to present well known railroad historians like Melissa Etheridge. 😂
The railroad was built in MILES, not kilometers.
This not built with the BS metric system. Just like we put men on the moon without that BS metric system.
We’re so awesome. 🇺🇸
Wtf is with the KILO talk? I thought this was a series about Merica…
Kilometers? Uh this is America! We do miles.. They absolutely Used The Chines Workers.
This makes me want to cry. What this country was and what we have willingly given up is truly sickening.
He forgot to mention Fort Worth, Texas. In the early 1870’s the first railroad reached Fort Worth. Being that Fort Worth was already located near some cattle trails, it soon became the terminus for the cattle drives from south Texas. It saved a lot of money because instead of having to drive the cattle all the way to Kansas they could ship them by rail. Itwasn’t long.
before Armour and Swift opened slaughter houses and began processing the meat. The old Stockyard’s are still there, but the slaughter houses closed down in the 60s or 79s. However, the Stockyard’s have been developed as a tourist attraction. It’s a lot of fun.
I’m sure glad Bruce Jenner was interviewed for this piece. Whose idea was that? Whatever happened to that dude? Haven’t seen him in the news for awhile.
yet another reason America sucks
This was narrated by somebody from the U.K.??
What about Roebuck? Who was he in the Sears and Roebuck empire?
WTF is Micheal Strayhan doing here ?! 😆😆😆😆
You lost me at Melissa Ethridge.
We are rejoice in while of trust! Heed God’s worth and stand! Eat of rejoice not waste
Accept trust as rejoice
Sioux people has lost thing. Four times zones is good great idan. Good work on the video.
people actually watches this💀
Just know, how ever they treated Chinese workers, they treated Black workers TEN TIMES WORSE. That’s a FACT.
yo what happened to the original narrator
Yeah…. ok the majority African Americans 😂😂😂
9:50 “250 rails per kilometer”. I think the script should’ve read “ties”.
You know this documentary is old when he was known as Bruce Jenner.
AMEERICAAHHHH
Is it just me or is anyone else watching this for school
This is particularly tear jerking profound history every child born today’ should see.
The Extermination of up to 70 Million Buffalo was Intentional Genocide for the Native Americans.. Destroying their Food Source was the easiest way to remove them from the Land .
This is one of the worst Historical takes Ive ever seen on this subject. They didnt think the Chinese could do the job. It wasnt until after a smaller number proved they could do the job were many thousands hired.
Thank you this video is amazing 🤩 and whoever posted it.
Bruce Jenner definitely took some risks
This foreigner should NOT haver been the commentator for an American program. An example is his using metric measurment numbers, not the American system, poor, very poor!!!!
Listening to him is offensive to me. Just like the use of criminal trump!!!!1
I like trains
Really you’re bring evolution hypothesis into a video on railroad! Bright flashes, kisses instead of miles 👎👎👎
I miss the old narrator. What happened to him?
