Expe­di­tion 45 Soyuz Com­man­der Sergey Volkov of the Russ­ian Fed­er­al Space Agency (Roscos­mos) and vis­it­ing crew mem­bers Andreas Mogensen of the Euro­pean Space Agency (ESA) and Aidyn Aim­be­tov of the Kaza­kh Space Agency (Kaz­cos­mos) launched on the Russ­ian Soyuz TMA-18M space­craft on Sept. 2, Kaza­kh time from the Baikonur Cos­mod­rome in Kaza­khstan bound for the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion. Volkov will spend six months on the sta­tion while Mogensen and Aim­be­tov will be on board the sta­tion for just eight days. The footage also includes the crew’s pre-launch activ­i­ties and post-launch inter­views with Michael Suf­fre­di­ni, NASA ISS Pro­gram Man­ag­er; William Ger­sten­maier, NASA Asso­ciate Admin­is­tra­tor for Human Explo­ration and Oper­a­tions; Jan Woern­er, ESA Direc­tor Gen­er­al; and Esben Lunde Larsen, Min­is­ter for High­er Edu­ca­tion and Sci­ence, Denmark.
