Hey, Ecobee, is there an Echo in here?

The $249 Ecobee4 Smart Thermostat doesn’t just work with Amazon services — it has a built-in Alexa speaker.

The smartest, most expensive, totally useless gadget
Can you still control it with an echo through?
Nest should copy this and use google home instead of echo. It’s a great idea
She said it all. “It won’t be worth the $250 if you don’t use alexa” This is the best we get after the long wait for ecobee 4? Damn =(
I was going to get an Ecobee 3 soon since it dropped to $200 but I may as well add another Echo Dot with this one.
Not sure if I would get a bourbon room or a smart thermostat first.
I’m glad they went with amazon echo service instead of google home. I hate my google home!
For everyone that cannot find their slippers!
Need to do a buyback upgrade program for current users. Mine is 13 months old, no where close to the garbage pit.
I like the level of control you get with scheduling with ecobee (vs. nest). I’m not sure how much I would use the voice automation, but definitely excited to see whatever’s coming next!
They should at least team up with nest
Does it respond to Siri or just Dumblexa?
This video title is hilarious considering the ecobee4 doesn’t have ESP capabilities — if you already have an Echo product listening to you, this device will hear it also, with both of them responding back to you. Kind of makes the title a pun, no?
Does the ecobee 4 work with the Google Assistant/Home? That’s the one option I didn’t hear her say when she was talking about compatible devices.……
