The Dell XPS 13’s new design and barely there screen bezel are great, but the up-the-nose webcam still baffles.

i don’t think lots of people use the default webcam on laptops because the “potato quality” but somehow they talk lots of bad thing about this one even though they wont use it? for me i don’t appreciate how the camera is close to the keyboard because i don’t think it’s a safe thing, other than that i think this is my next laptop and i will just put a duct tape or whatever on the camera and use an external one, also great review, keep it up!

When i think about it, I’ve never used a webcam…in years! I would consider getting rid of a webcam if it means making it lighter, cheaper, and smaller.

For a developper, ASUS ZenBook 13 is a much better option at a cheaper price, similar form factor, better I/O, and same perfomance

Tried this laptop, but the 16:9 screen ratio sucks, and the keyboard was very uncomfortable to type on. Coming from a Surface Pro 3 these seemingly insignificant details meant a lot to me as I spend all day typing code. Had to return mine.
Thin white bezels is just an oxymoron
That’s a strange comment to make — that it fades into the background because it’s white. Your screen will only really feel like it fades into the background if it matches the bezel closely, so yes it will if you’re working with brighter colours like Google, but no if you’re watching video with black borders.
I actually don’t want a touch screen because it costs cpu power and is useless in my eyes. It is really nice that they sell laptops without it.

I love mine and its fully decked out in black of course.
We are not in the USB‑C age. No mouse is sold with it and hardly a singe memory stick, which are the most used accessories for laptops. USB‑C video adapters are also more expensive, and confusing because not every port outputs video. It’s a mess.
Once again the webcam mistake. The XPS is best in everything, but they can’t seem to get rid of this deal breaker. Let’s hope for next year model…
