Karan Johar ‘cried’ when Alia Bhatt told him she’s pregnant, get more details!

It’s no secret that actress Alia Bhatt and film­mak­er Karan Johar are very close. The ‘Razi’ actor con­sid­ers Karan her men­tor, a father fig­ure and a best friend. Now Karan has revealed how he react­ed to Ali­a’s preg­nan­cy after she broke the big news to him. Speak­ing to a news out­let, Karan said he got emo­tion­al and start­ed cry­ing and felt like his baby was hav­ing a baby.

Karan told ETimes: “I cried. She came into my office. I remem­ber hav­ing a bad hair day and sit­ting in a hood­ie and hat. And that’s what she told me. And my first emo­tion was tears just came out and Alia came and hugged me. I remem­ber say­ing, ‘I can’t believe you’re hav­ing a baby’.”

He fur­ther added: “It feels like your baby is hav­ing a baby. It was a very emo­tion­al moment for me, it still is! I’ve seen her grow from a girl to an out­stand­ing artist to this beau­ti­ful con­fi­dent woman. And I feel so much pride. She was my first out­burst of being a par­ent. My first out­burst of par­ent­hood was when she walked into my office at 17. She is 29 today and these last 12 years have been mag­i­cal for both of us. I have such a strong bond with her. I can’t wait to hold her baby in my arms. It’s going to be a very emo­tion­al moment, as close as it was to hold­ing my own chil­dren in my arms.”

Alia has brought two films from Karan’s Dhar­ma Pro­duc­tion, name­ly ‘Bra­hamas­tra’ and ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’. “Bra­hamas­tra,” which also stars Ran­bir Kapoor, is set to be released on Sep­tem­ber 9th this year. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’ stars Alia along­side Ran­veer Singh. The film also boasts vet­er­an actors Dhar­men­dra, Sha­bana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. Alia will also appear with Ran­veer in the first episode of Kof­fee With Karan 7.
