Google’s long-awaited smartphone upgrade — the Pixel 7a — is likely to launch early next year, and with each passing day, tipsters have been leaking important information about the device. There is no doubt that Google Pixel 7a will come with several upgrades and according to the leaks, Google has tried to fix many existing problems with this device. Some new leaks from tipster Kuba Wojciechowski suggest the Google Pixel 7a will have a different display, among other things.
In a series of tweets, Wojciechowski said the Google Pixel 7a will come with a 90Hz screen, wireless charging and a brand new dual rear camera setup. “I checked the camera drivers and found evidence confirming that the Lynx (Google Pixel 7a) may indeed be a mid-range device: its camera setup is called ‘Pixel 22 Mid-Range’ versus ‘Pixel 22 Premium’. ” on Pixel 7/Pro. I previously leaked the Lynx camera setup: GN1+IMX787+IMX712 on the back. It seems Google has now changed that and removed the GN1 lens. It’s possible that it simply used for testing before the brand new sensors were ready to go,” he said.

He said the recent changes made to the device indicate that the camera sensors are now called “l10_wide” (IMX787) and “l10_UW” (IMX712) without a dedicated telephoto lens. It suggests that the Pixel 7a might get a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor and IMX712 wide-angle lens.
“IMX787 is a huge upgrade over the old IMX363 and should make the 7a an even better choice for mid-range camera quality. 7a will also come with wireless charging, just like I had previously leaked. However, as noted by 9to5Google, the specific IC is limited to 5W,” he said.
Wojciechowski said that 7a will most likely be the first device with a Google Tensor chip to include Qualcomm’s WiFi/BT solution — WCN6740. “I was able to find out that the Pixel 7a’s display is actually a 90Hz 1080p panel from Samsung! That was probably the biggest complaint about the 6a, so it’s nice to see Google addressing it,” he revealed.
The tipster opined that if Google maintains the MRP of $449 (INR 36,166), the 7a will most likely be “a killer deal”.
However, Pixel Lynx (L10) has recently been rumored as “Pixel Ultra” or “Pixel Mini”. @9to5Google has speculated that it is indeed the upcoming Pixel 7a. I decided to dig into it.

“With a new high refresh rate display, wireless charging, a brand new camera sensor and Google’s usual software magic, not many devices could compete, especially in the US,” he said.
The currently cheap pixel smartphone comes with a 12.2 MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor.
