“The accident happened at 10.45 this morning, apparently due to poor visibility due to the fog and heavy rain. A police squad from Assar Police Station along with locals arrived at the site and declared a rescue operation, but three of the four people were found dead on the site while the injured one was transferred to CHC Assar,” the official added.
The R&B officials who died have been identified as Executive Engineer Doda Rafiq Shah, a resident of Poonch, AEE Kamal Kishore, a resident of Udhampur and Driver Abdul Hafiz of Doda.
The injured SE, who was being treated at CHC Assar, has also died, an official said. He has been identified as Suresh Kumar of Jammu.
