The conquistadors and the Christian priest that came with them were plain evil. They destroyed a beautiful civilization that was more civilized than any European City! Only Christians see evil in everything they judge to not be Christian! CHRISTIANITY needs to end!
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “altar call”.
What we know about the bloody and brutal Aztec rituals come from Spanish embellishments, but they are indeed accurate accounts.
One word: Datura
Pine Pitch is Petrolium… gasoline.
After they did all that dismembering… they threw the rest away.
Do you gotta hand it to the history channel this is quite a documentary. very grisly subject matter and execution, for lack of a better word
But there was no violence in the Americas before Europe arrived.
I really hope History Channel changes the dynamic of the reports because we can barely hear what specialists actually have to say, it almost appears to me it's a one guy's show
Dr. Carrasco is one of my professors at Harvard- and he is truly incredible and amazing to learn from. He's the real deal in learning of the ancient world
But the Egyptian pyramids werent built to be tombs. Not one single body was found in a pyramid. History is only written by the victors.
Its easy to just perform genocide then say… Yeah… They just sacrificed eachother due to famines, no rain.. ect.
Tired of hearing the same narrative, over an over again.
It seems like not only Aztecs' Sun God, but all humans' Gods are bloodthirsty. They've just got different ways for human sacrifice. Some are straight forward, the others drive followers to kill unbelievers.
