Best review like always. Shame and disadvantage that they aren’t porting original PS VR experiences and Astro bot game. Those experiences made us buy the original one. I won’t buy this one to show it friends and family unless they had minimum of old ones compatible. Astro bot was superb! Shark cage experience, Batman etc … they should work on updating existing ones until newer arrives

Looking at the meta quest price,this should cost around £300 to buy.I can see this going down to 299 in the near future.
To totally different pieces of tech between the 1st and 2nd headset. I think they said because the 1st headset had games using the light tracking using the camera is the issue.
Do the ear buds have 3d audio? Don’t think so. The pulse 3d set has the ability to use the microphone to hear outside in your environment at the click of a switch.
Enough with the idiotic price argument. Compare that to a high end pc and way better headsets than the meta quest 2. The meta is old tech.

comparing quest 2 is like 1080 p tv vs 4k oled tv witch is psvr 2.
only comparable vr headset that comes close to psvr 2 is reverb g2 or pimax 5k or quest 3 witch cost 1500

big mistake from sony that prevent me to buy more game is „ THE DRIVE SPACE… i will need to erase alot of games to install resident evil 8„ no man sky and grand turismo… soo all those game i have buy before will be ”unistalled” thats ALOT of games„ i have around 400 games.… and i have stop to buy them because NO MORE SPACE… i have 400 and mores games… but only 20–25 are used because.… the lack of space..

PSVR 2 is not expensive is actually cheaper than PSVR1 + Camera + Move Controllers. And PSVR 2 is packing in way better tech

I got in late with the original PSVR headset. With a bundle that included the camera and 5 games. I would have liked to have at least 2 launch games for PSVR 2. They could have easily implemented another Astrobot demo to show off the new technology.
I like the next gen fresnel lenses…so worth it

Thanks for the review. The price a comparison next to PCVR is an odd one tho. Beyond Quest, you need a PC capable of running these games. I currently don’t. What would the cost of next gen VR and a PC be? I, thinking more than double the price of a PS5 and VR2.

Quest 2 is like looking through a toilet roll tube
This isn’t comparable to a Quest 2, it’s actually 20 times more powerful and has much better specs and features.
It still boggles my mind that no one can seem to go 15 seconds without saying how expensive this is. Yes, you need a PS5. But the headset itself is $50 more than Quest 2 large HD version (A whole, whopping 10%), and this device obliterates the quest in visual fidelity and horsepower. With the obsession about price talk, you’d think this thing cost was the Pimax Crystal does.

I think Sonys best bet for the psvr 2 to sell significantly more units is to have them allow freedoms to the vr headset in every game you own even if it’s not quite optimized and that sounds more difficult but I feel like it’s a task that’s worth the effort imagine just launching gta and you can choose vr or hands on then hop on over to hog warts no issue seamless integration I think it would stand out against meta with that ability

I really REALLY like the idea of one cord to the PS5, some easy calibration and BAM ready to roll. Just preordered this.
I was notified this morning that my PSVR2 with game shipped out via UPS. Due here Tuesday, maybe even Monday
He says “you can get a cheaper VR headset and just hook it up to your pc” as if you could hook it up to any old pc.
A gaming rig good enough to run VR at this level of fidelity is more expensive than a PS5.
PSVR2 is at a super fair price point compared to similar headsets for PC.
Expensive? Its far superior to a meta quest 2. Yeah you can hook it up to a pc. I have. A 3000,- pc that is because thats what you need for decent pc vr in high settings.
So the psvr2 is cheap. And yeah you need a ps5. I guess the thing eith consoles is most people already own them. I had to build a high end gaming pc for vr. Ps5 i have since launch.
The price is not high for high end pcvr quality
This is not expensive for what your’re getting. The value proposition is very high considering what’s in the package
