You are mistaken. iPhone users do not exclusively use iMessage. We have family that has Android. So, we share media via WhatsApp or Instagram messages. Apple knows this. If they didn’t, they would not support this change.

Clarification. RCS is coming to the Messages app not iMessage. Confusing I know but the Messages app is what you use to send SMS, MMS, iMessages and soon RCS messages.
Why is Apple always late to everything and iPhone users think they have a superior product…lol
Why does anyone use their shit, They sound worse and worse every time I hear about them… they are literally ban in my family [I will legit disown someone for using them].
Some of us who are in the USA use iMessage as well as 3rd party apps. Also some of us use both Operating Systems too. Yes this is definitely a dream come true but let’s see how this plays in the upcoming months.
