I think EVs are bad, first there must be a new bat­tery tech­nol­o­gy (no lithi­um) that can charge very fast and have large capac­i­ty with­out self dis­charge (if possible)

It has a huge amount of tech com­bined with the human physique- the bikes them­selves are obvi­ous­ly high tech (every­thing pos­si­ble done to reduce weight and air resis­tance, each day their set up is tweaked to match up the right tires, the best frame, the opti­mum gear set for the pro­file, the rid­ers will some­times have cus­tom parts 3d print­ed or mould­ed) dur­ing a race they all have HR mon­i­tors, and their bikes have pow­er mon­i­tors.
And the rid­ers them­selves do every­thing they can to make them­selves the most effi­cient pos­si­ble- each day’s nutri­tion is planned out with a chef and nutri­tion­ist to match the pro­file of indi­vid­ual race that day, the rid­ers spend time in wind tun­nels mak­ing their posi­tion more aero, every­thing they do is mon­i­tored so they can min/max their per­for­mance.
And then in the end it comes down to who can suf­fer the most up the moun­tain
