In a new development in the Murder Case Udaipur, it was learned that a man named Ishwar Singh was reportedly trying to help Kanhaiya Lal when he was attacked by the accused in broad daylight. With everyone standing nearby, afraid to take action, Singh stepped forward and attempted to fight the two defendants, according to a report by Aaj Tak. The report goes on to say that unfortunately Ishwar was attacked by two men, Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammad. He was later hospitalized and is still being treated for his injuries. He received 16 stitches for his injury.
What is the Udaipur Murder Case?
In a horrific incident, two Muslim men beheaded a tailor at his shop for supporting BJP leader Nupur Sharma’s controversial statements on social media in Udaipur, Rajasthan. In addition, the attackers recorded the crime on camera and shared the video on social media. The two suspects arrived at the victim’s shop in the area of Dhan Mandi police station on Tuesday afternoon, police said today. One of the attackers, identified as Riyaz, attacked Kanhaiya Lal with a sharp-edged weapon while the other recorded the act on his mobile phone, police said.
Amidst all this, the NIA today took over the investigation into the brutal murder in Udaipur that has sparked new tensions in the country.
The NIA registered a case under the Counter-Terrorism Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act in connection with the “heinous murder,” alleging that the defendant wanted to “spread terror among the masses across the country.”
A spokesman for the agency said NIA teams had already arrived in Udaipur and that the necessary measures for a speedy investigation into the case had been taken.
