Thor: Love and Thunder reveals all 12 songs from the film

One of the most impor­tant parts of any block­buster film is its musi­cal score and the songs that make up its sound­track, which is no excep­tion for the next Mar­vel Stu­dios film — Thor: Love and Thun­der. Scored by long­time Mar­vel col­lab­o­ra­tor Michael Giacchi­no, and thanks to the film’s pro­mo­tion­al tour, fans know this sound­track will deliv­er anoth­er fun round of hits.

Direc­tor Tai­ka Wait­i­ti con­tin­ued his tenure at Mar­vel Thor: Rag­narok through the use of Led Zep­pelin’s leg­endary “Immi­grant Song”, which was heard both in the film’s adver­tis­ing cam­paign and twice dur­ing the film itself. This became anoth­er fun nee­dle drop moment with­in the MCU in 2017, and Wait­i­ti is clear­ly try­ing to con­tin­ue that theme with Chris Hemsworth’s fourth solo Thor film.

It all start­ed with the first trail­er for love and thun­der The 1987 Guns N’ Ros­es song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” has fans jam­ming to ’80s rock hits as Thor unleash­es anoth­er round of thun­der. Now, ahead of the film’s world­wide release, Mar­vel has shared the names of all the songs fans will hear over the course of the near­ly two-hour runtime.

These include Guns N’ Ros­es’ “Sweet Child O Mine” which was heard in the first trail­er, and this song is one of four from the same group in the fourth Thor film.

Though the MCU has a few icon­ic scores from com­posers like Alan Sil­vestri and Michael Giacchi­no, near­ly every out­ing uses plen­ty of mem­o­rable nee­dle drops to pro­pel their sto­ries. love and thun­der now con­tin­ues the same vibes that fans have been hear­ing Thor: Rag­narok, with a third of those songs com­ing exclu­sive­ly from Guns N’ Ros­es. How­ev­er, some of the oth­er inclu­sions on this list raise some inter­est­ing questions.

Will any­one in this sto­ry­line ever move their head to a 2001 Mary J. Blige R&B? And is one of the main char­ac­ters used in an Old Spice com­mer­cial somehow?!

Regard­less of the details, this sound­track only con­tin­ues to hint at how much fun the ride will be Thor: Love and Thun­der. Jam­ming too much clas­sic rock while also touch­ing on the more mod­ern 21st cen­tu­ry era sure means there will be some enter­tain­ing and unpre­dictable moments when these songs start playing.
