Aarya 3: Sushmita Sen’s intense web series returns for another season

Sush­mi­ta Sen’s web show Aarya is ready to return for anoth­er excit­ing sea­son. The hit web show, which cel­e­brat­ed its two sea­sons on the Dis­ney + Hot­star OTT plat­form, is ready to wow audi­ences once again.

Sush­mi­ta took to Insta­gram to announce the news. Shar­ing a video with all the clips from the show’s final sea­son, she wrote, “Sherni begins a new jour­ney, #Hot­star­Spe­cials #AaryaS3 devel­op­ment begins. I love you!!! #dug­gadug­ga’ accom­pa­nied by a bunch of emoticons.

Speak­ing of her role in Sea­son 3, Sush­mi­ta said, “It’s a new dawn for Aarya Sareen, and she’s wild. In Sea­son 3, she goes far and begins her own sto­ry, free from the obsta­cles of her past. Repris­ing the role of Aarya is like slip­ping into old jeans, but for a brand new jour­ney. It feels great to be reunit­ed with Ram Mad­hvani and the Dis­ney+ Hot­star team, and I can’t wait to return the love and appre­ci­a­tion that view­ers have shown to Aarya.”

Direc­tor Ram Mad­hvani also shared his excite­ment at work­ing with Sush­mi­ta again. He said, “Dis­ney+ Hot­star has been a great part­ner in build­ing ‘Aarya’ for two sea­sons and we’re excit­ed to be work­ing with them again for anoth­er sea­son and we’re sure audi­ences will want more. From here on, the stakes will only increase. It’s great to be back with Sush­mi­ta Sen and co-pro­duc­er Ami­ta Mad­hvani and the entire team at Ram Mad­hvani Films.”

Aarya was Sush­mi­ta Sen’s come­back to the big screen and her dig­i­tal debut. Sush­mi­ta made an excit­ing come­back in June 2020 with “Aarya”. In the series, the actor plays the pro­tag­o­nist, a pow­er­ful and strong char­ac­ter who push­es bound­aries to pro­tect her fam­i­ly from the crime world. The first sea­son was even nom­i­nat­ed for Best Dra­ma at the Inter­na­tion­al Emmy Awards.

Direct­ed by Ram Mad­hvani, the series also stars Namit Das, Man­ish Chaud­hari, Sikan­dar Kher and Vin­od Rawat in key roles, among oth­ers. The show’s sec­ond sea­son was released in Decem­ber 2021 and the release date of the third sea­son has not yet been announced by the creators.
