Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut shared her reaction to Uddhav Thackeray’s recent resignation from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra via social media on Thursday. Taking to her Instagram handle, the Queen actor shared a minute-long video with the caption: “When evil takes over, destruction is imminent. After that there is creation. The lotus of life blooms.”
In the video, she discussed the rebirth of democracy, stating that the current period is the most important in the history of Indian democracy since 1975. Kangana also referred to her two-year-old statement regarding the state government led by Uddhav Thackay.
In Hindi, the actor said: “In 2020 I had said that democracy is a belief system. And those who destroy this belief system out of lust for power are doomed. Your arrogance will be destroyed. That shows a person’s character.”
“Hanuman ji is considered the 12th avatar of Lord Shiva. And when Shiv Sena himself forbids Hanuman Chalisa, not even Shiva himself can save her. Har Har Mahadev. Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra,” she added. Uddhav Thackeray submitted his resignation to the governor of the state of Bhagat Singh Koshyari in Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
The governor accepted the resignation and asked Uddhav Thackeray to continue as CM until an alternative agreement was reached. Thackay made the announcement of his resignation minutes after the Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Thursday’s floor test in the Maharashtra assembly. “I am stepping down as Chief Minister,” he announced.
He also announced his retirement as an MLC. On the labor front, Kangana will next appear in Tejas, where she plays the role of an Indian Air Force officer. The film will be released later this year. She will also appear in “Emergency,” which is based on the life of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
